Seth Leitman has moderated panels, forums and seminars since he was in the Student Government at the University at Albany through his tenure with the State of New York till today. Here he is moderating the alternative fuel/electric car debate for a great panel.

May of 2009, Leitman moderated a forum on electric cars Batteries and Ethanol. During the panel talk swung from boosting efficiency of battery technology to debating the merits of biofuels, hydrogen, military spending and more. On the panel to represent Big Auto was Chris Colquitt, a driver relationship manager for GM who serves as a primary point of contact for participants in the company’s Project Driveway, the largest market test of fuel cell technology to date. Colquitt said that everything is looking good for the highly anticipated launch of the Chevy Volt for late 2010. “At GM we’re excited by EVs. We’re also on track to reduce oil use by 30% with cellulosic ethanol by 2030,” said Colquitt.

While obtaining his Master of Public Administration at the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy in 1996, he studied how the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund were essential for providing for an International Green Economy. His development project research was about solar and wind power programs in Latin America.
While at the State of New York, he managed the clean bus, alternative fueled and electric car programs. Leitman can REALLY provide insight into Who Really Killed The Electric Car and how electric car has risen since.
