Thanks to everyone that gave me support on Facebook for my birthday wishes. The Green Living Guy today turns 39. It feels like just yesterday I was celebrating my 29th birthday with friends and laughter. Ugh. The years seem to fly by. With each passing birthday, I reflect more on my journey, the [lessons](https://www.facebook.com/share/14RpSHKRaGX/?mibextid=wwXIfr) I’ve learned, and the milestones I’ve achieved. But above all, the wishes sent for my birthday remind me how loved I am. Many heartfelt birthday wishes [brighten](https://greenlivingguy.com/2021/07/10-eco-friendly-ways-to-brighten-up-your-home/) my day. Some people are [calling me saying](https://greenlivingguy.com/2011/04/heads-up-nerds-on-call-say-reduce-reuse-recycle/) hello “Daddy,” “you are getting old,” you know, the stuff that makes you think wow and wtf? It’s amusing how they remind me of the passage of time. However, it also encourages me to embrace every moment and cherish the experiences that come with growing older. Each new [year brings its own set of challenges](https://greenlivingguy.com/2017/05/better-buildings-challenge-partners-save-1-9-billion-18-achieve-their-portfolio-wide-goal-this-year/) and adventures. I’m eager to see what this upcoming year has in store for me. ## My Life So I look at my life and wonder what is good. There are many more things that are good than bad now. It’s inspiring to think about how far I’ve come. Yeah, it’s bad, but at least I am going to be doing things to move on from it. I want to be happy. Also, I’ve started focusing on the small [joys that life](https://greenlivingguy.com/2011/03/the-joy-of-hobby-farming-a-sustainable-life-that-protects-the-land-and-environment/) offers. For example, the warmth of the sun on my face or a kind word from a friend remind me that positivity is always within reach. In addition, [friends and family](https://greenlivingguy.com/2020/05/environmentally-friendly-family-fun-in-the-great-outdoors/), who send their birthday wishes, lift my spirits. I’m [learning to embrace changes and challenges](https://greenlivingguy.com/2013/07/the-prius-plug-in-challenge-learning-to-drive-an-electric-car/) as opportunities for growth. I know that each [step I take brings me closer](https://greenlivingguy.com/2017/07/dental-mercury-free-two-steps-closer-abating-global-damage/) to a brighter future. Moreover, the many wishes for my birthday have made my day even more special.
