Green Living Guy Went On Regis and Kelly To Get His Back Waxed

As my friend Ileana Garcia Jacolow put it best, I cannot believe I just watched WHS’s very own Seth Leitman getting waxed by the Real Housewives Of New York star Cindy Barshop on LIVE! with Regis and Kelly, live on national television. It was kind of mesmerizing. It was very inspired.

Yes, we met while getting waxed by Cindy Barshop from Completely Bare and The Real Housewives of New York.

There are reasons why besides the fact that I absolutely love my wife and would do this in a heartbeat. Look, yeah I wanted to show my chops on national television.  However, now they understand I am the Green Living Guy.  To me that’s an honor and a privilege.  Thank you!  Yup, they added me to their peeps they follow on Twitter and the lovely Cindy Barshop of the Real Housewives of New York (who waxed me with two other amazing professionals) now follows me too!

I am honored to be part of this list.  To be the Green Living Guy for everyone has been a mission of mine and this experience truly has helped me to help myself but not being such a hairy Austin Powers.

BTW. I turned down my thermostat by 2 degrees yesterday (yup the hottest day of the year)! Going green and saving cash!

My buddy Ruben Estrada thought I was full of it but whatever since I remembered on Friday that Regis said I had a sweater back there!

Then everyone understood and Ruben responded:

That I believe. With no body hair such as that which you had on your back (a true hairy Monkey on Your Back) thiswould allow for you to reduce the need for artificial air cooling (air conditioning) by more than 2 degrees.

LIVE came to the rescue for two sisters; Sarah and my wife Jessica who each asked us to fix their husband!  They got their wish and so did I!

To spruce up New York City with even more greenery this spring, the New York Restoration Project has partnered with leading online charity auction site, charitybuzz.com, for the first annual Earth Day Auction. Available through May 5 at charitybuzz.com/auctions/NYRPEarthDay, the Restore New York City, Restore the Earth Auction offers bidders the chance to spend the day with the organization’s founder, Bette Midler or act as a muse for a custom painting by renowned artist, Ryan Paul Simmons. The Los Angeles City Council approved moving forward with the Los Angeles Green Business Certification Program. The City of Los Angeles’ initiative, to be administered by the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD), will provide information on how to identify a green business and how businesses can adopt sustainable practices. One of the aims is to enable consumers to support firms that strive to protect the environment. The program was announced at a news conference at Ciudad restaurant. Green Seal, Inc., the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, Green Globe and dineLA, a part of LA INC, The Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau will join the LACCD in its work on this effort.
Joe Veilleux doesn’t view himself as an environmentalist, but he understands how his actions might paint him with that brush. “I’m not an environmentalist,” said Veilleux, general manager of the U.S. operations of natural health ingredient manufacturer Euromed. “I’m a pragmatist. There’s a difference. A lot of environmentalists have characterized their cause as one that pits them directly against corporate America. I’m part of corporate America, but I also recognize the debt I owe to the environment and want to do my fair share to protect it. In the long run, it’s just good for business and there are plenty of examples throughout history of how our environment is one of our most valuable natural resources.” Veilleux’s company is partner with the Everglades Foundation in a campaign dubbed Glade-iator (www.glade-iator.org), which is a model of the public-private partnership Veilleux believes is good for business.
