By Jon Gagne, Naval Air Station Kingsville Public Affairs KINGSVILLE, Texas (NNS) — Naval Air Station (NAS) Kingsville, Texas, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Nov. 15, for a new Solar Array Plant constructed on the south end of the air station. The $3.1 million is a 550kW DC ground-mount photovoltaic power generation system. The estimated energy production from this is 693,000 kWh per year and is expected to result in approximately $55,400 in annual energy savings board the base.
