## Smart Irrigation Gets a Federal Boost

HydroPoint Data Systems just scored a major win. Its WeatherTRAK® smart irrigation
controllers have officially earned the EPA’s prestigious WaterSense® label. That
means the devices meet strict federal standards for water efficiency and performance.
As a result, property owners and facility managers now have a certified tool to
cut waste and conserve resources—without sacrificing landscape health.

### HydroPoint : Why WaterSense Certification Matters

The EPA’s WaterSense label works like Energy Star—but for water. It identifies products
that save water while performing efficiently. HydroPoint’s WeatherTRAK controllers
passed a rigorous testing process. Because of this, users can trust that these devices
deliver measurable savings and real environmental benefits.

### WeatherTRAK Technology: How It Works

WeatherTRAK smart controllers optimize watering schedules based on real-time weather
data, plant types, soil conditions, and slope. So instead of wasting water on a
rainy day, the system adjusts automatically. This not only prevents overwatering,
but it also reduces runoff and long-term utility costs.

Even better, the technology works for everything from commercial campuses to HOAs
and [public parks](https://greenlivingguy.com/2010/06/state-parks-a-popular-choice-for-americans-this-memorial-day/).
It’s scalable, proven, and backed by years of performance data.

### Big Savings, Bigger Impact

[HydroPoint](https://greenlivingguy.com/2009/10/shimmel-gold-art-transforming-waste-into-beauty/)
reports that WeatherTRAK users can save up to 59% of their landscape water use.
That’s not just good for the environment—it’s good for business. As water rates
rise and drought conditions intensify, smart irrigation becomes essential.

Moreover, qualifying systems may also be eligible for local utility rebates, adding
even more incentive for switching to sustainable watering.

### HydroPoint : A Leadership in Sustainability

With this EPA endorsement, HydroPoint cements its role as a leader in sustainable
water management. “Receiving the WaterSense label reinforces our commitment to helping
organizations reduce water waste through innovation,” said HydroPoint leadership.

As cities, schools, and businesses search for smarter water solutions, products
like WeatherTRAK help bridge the gap between conservation and convenience.
