Compass Datacenters Awarded LEED® Gold Certification for Data Center in Suburban Nashville

LEED Certification Recognizes the Energy Efficiency. Sustainability of Compass’ Engineering and Construction Practices

Dallas – January 14, 2014 – Compass Datacenters, awarded in January of 2014 for LEED Gold certification. This was the first data center facility in Franklin, Tennessee. Nevertheless even in suburban Nashville going LEED Gold.

Furthermore, this 21,000 square foot facility dedicated in early 2013. It’s the second Compass facility to earn LEED Gold certification. The certification awarding came from the U.S. Green Building Council. Further, it verified by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). LEED is the nation’s preeminent program for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.

This data center facility is fully leased by an enterprise customer. It is built using sustainable engineering and construction practices.

These are ones that clearly cut waste and adhere to the USGBC’s standards for materials use. In addition and most noteworthy, water use, energy efficiency and other sustainability criteria. This facility also uses Compass’ patent-pending energy-efficient architecture to deliver a low Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) that ensures sustainable operations and low operating costs.
