KYOTO, Japan, Jan. 7, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Nidec Corporation (NYSE:NJ) (“Nidec”) today announced that Nidec and seven of its subsidiary companies, in collaboration with one UK-based subcontractor, are participating in the 5th EV & HEV Drive System Technology Expo (EV JAPAN), Asia’s leading electric-hybrid vehicles and technology exhibition to be held as part of the Automotive World 2014 at Tokyo Big Sight (Ariake, Koto-ku, Tokyo) from January 15 through January 17, 2014.
In this specialized exhibition where professionals from automotive component manufacturers visit from all over the world, the Nidec Group will showcase its newest green technology-based motors in three exhibit categories: “drive system products,” “products for electric and energy-efficient vehicles,” and “demonstrations” at its booth.
On January 16, Toyohei Nakajima, a Vice President of Nidec Corporation and the Deputy General Manager of Nidec R&D Center will speak at a technology workshop titled “Nidec’s motor technology underpinning EV/HEV innovation”, and deliver a short presentation at its booth (planned to start at 16:30) to discuss Nidec’s ongoing research and development initiatives for next-generation EV/HEV motors.
