So the people at Booking.com, the #1 accommodation website in the world, has scoured their database of over 443,439 properties in 200 countries to pull out the top-reviewed and rated accommodations that provide an eco-friendly stay.
Not only is Grand Rapids, MI considered one of the most “eco-conscious” cities in the U.S., but the well-known city is also home to one of the top green hotels: CityFlats Hotel Grand Rapids. The five-story hotel has LEED Gold Certification and features 28 conceptually unique and eco-friendly guest rooms. Luxurious and green décor includes: Cork flooring installed with low-VOC adhesives, naturally hypo-allergenic bamboo linens, curtains lined with a black-out fabric to reduce energy needed to heat and cool room, light fixtures with energy efficient fluorescent light bulbs, countertops made from Cradle to Cradle (C2C) Certified recycled glass and concrete, and more.
