[⌊Lexus CT 200h hybrid electric Car test drive⌉⌊Lexus CT 200h hybrid electric Car
test drive⌉[

My test drive of the Lexus CT 200h Hybrid F Sport. It was a great ride. I remember
those that wanted a car in that price range really seemed excited about this car.
Here is an excerpt from my review:

### Lexus CT 200h Hybrid F Sport

The Lexus [CT 200h Hybrid](https://greenlivingguy.com/2011/03/the-new-ct-200h-hybrid-electric-car-sustainable-and-sporty/)
F Sport electric vehicle is a fun, sporty ride and considered the most youthful
of the Lexus fleet. Whether you’re a teenager driving around with your friends or
commuting to work, this cost effective, eco-friendly [hybrid will get you where you need](https://greenlivingguy.com/2014/02/toyota-prius-hybrid-recall-what-you-need-to-know/)
to go.

### **Cost Effective and Eco Friendly**

[Lexus CT 200h F](https://greenlivingguy.com/2022/10/rivian-automotive-on-track-to-build-25000-evs-in-2022/)
Sport retailed a bit over $30,000 which is the most inexpensive of the brand. It
is a [cost effective luxury hybrid electric](https://greenlivingguy.com/2019/08/drive-green-economic-and-cost-benefits-of-fuel-efficient-cars/)
hatchback. In fact, it’s the only hybrid hatchback on the market which was a pleasant
site since diversity of product lines for [hybrid electric cars](https://greenlivingguy.com/2011/11/hybrid-electric-cars-fuel-efficiency-and-cost-savings/)
is great. When tested, this hatchback hybrid [EV](https://greenlivingguy.com/2019/04/evs-getting-cleaner-over-time/)
F Sport got an average of 45 miles per gallon with highs in the 50’s at certain
times throughout the test. The EPA rating is actually 42 mpg but with the test able
to get a little more than the [EPA rating the car](https://greenlivingguy.com/2011/05/epa-improves-consumer-labels-but-stronger-vehicle-standards-needed/)
seems more cost effective than the sticker would make you think.

Lexus basically [updated CT 200h compact luxury hybrid](https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1088664_2014-lexus-ct-200h-update-appears-at-los-angeles-auto-show)
at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and now full details of the refreshed model have landed;
according to Green Car Reports.

### Not Impressive Efficiency Improvements

It’s disappointing [news for anyone hoping for efficiency](https://greenlivingguy.com/2018/03/good-news-congress-stands-up-for-energy-efficiency-with-omnibus-bill/)
improvements though, as the 2014 CT 200h features identical economy to the 2013
model.

That means combined efficiency of 42 mpg, with [city and highway](https://greenlivingguy.com/2014/02/concrete-buildings-as-smart-cities-future-of-infrastructure/)
figures of 43 mpg and 40 mpg respectively. That’s certainly nothing to sniff at,
but customers hoping for more will now have to wait for a next-generation model
to enjoy any real improvements.
