New GE Lumination™ BL Series LED Luminaires Work with USG Logix™ and Other Integrated Ceiling Systems

New GE Lumination™ BL Series LED Luminaires work with most integrated ceiling systems to help architects create more inspired layouts in offices and other commercial spaces.

An integrated ceiling design cleans up the customary “patchwork” of intersecting 2’x2′, 2’x4′ and 1’x4′ T-grids. The advantage is that larger, more decorative acoustical panels can be incorporated into the layout, making it easy to create a continuous-looking ceiling that best suites the space.

A product of GE ecomaginationSM, Lumination BL Series LED Luminaires offer up to 39 percent improved energy efficiency opposed to traditional fluorescent lighting. They are available in 4- and 5-foot lengths measuring 4 or 6 inches wide, and come prepared with adaptable mounting brackets for easy compatibility with different integrated ceiling systems.

Delivering bright, highly uniform light while minimizing shadow, GE’s ‘instant on’ and dimmable luminaires also integrate easily with lighting control systems—having removable end caps for quick wiring. These removable ends further allow continuous row mounting for creating long, uninterrupted stripes of light-unlike with fluorescent systems, where dark spots exist between fixture connection points. The luminaires’ advanced thermal management system, meanwhile, supports reliable performance and long life-up to four times longer than fluorescent options. As well, multiple lumen packages and distributions for glare control are available.

These new lighting fixtures from GE are contained within fully recyclable aluminum housings and contain no lead, glass or mercury.
