Test Drive Results for 2013 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited

So as I have written before, I now review cars for Autos.Answers.com. It’s one of the greatest search engines for any car out there. However it’s fun to get top billing for all of my Stories. Very grateful for this team they have. Spot on folks.

Anyway, here is a segment of my honest story of the 2013 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Electric Limited Edition.

An easy ride is the first thing that comes to mind when driving the 2013 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Electric Car Limited Edition. While it still feels and drives like the gas counterpart, this version has the Synergy Hybrid Drive included which saves some energy and fuel; yet not as much as it could. The luxurious feel to the car was nice but not enough to make up for the lack of fuel economy and overall savings.

Fuel Efficiency
The Highlander Hybrid’s Hybrid Synergy Drive features a 3.5-liter V6 for 2011-2013. It replaced the previous 3.3-liter V6 in 2011. While it is a V6 it has an electric drive motor/generator to give you 280 net horsepower. Yet, the 2013 still has a fuel economy rating of 32 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. It only is from extra regenerative braking opportunities and less and more efficiency.

As well, the 32 mpg is a slight improvement from previous years but the Ford Escape 2013 and 2014 get 28-30 miles per gallon vs this hybrid. That’s why it is so disappointing.

“Ecommando” is an action packed Web series that follows Ex-Navy Seal and environmentally clueless Leon Green (Jason Nash, star of Atom.com’s “The Shaman” and “Jason Nash Is Married”). Leon is quite possibly the least qualified person on the planet to Save Mother Earth, but he is forced to take a job protecting the environment after his girlfriend drives off in his home. To spruce up New York City with even more greenery this spring, the New York Restoration Project has partnered with leading online charity auction site, charitybuzz.com, for the first annual Earth Day Auction. The Los Angeles City Council approved moving forward with the Los Angeles Green Business Certification Program. The City of Los Angeles’ initiative, to be administered by the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD), will provide information on how to identify a green business and how businesses can adopt sustainable practices. One of the aims is to enable consumers to support firms that strive to protect the environment. The program was announced at a news conference at Ciudad restaurant. Green Seal, Inc., the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, Green Globe and dineLA, a part of LA INC, The Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau will join the LACCD in its work on this effort.
Joe Veilleux doesn’t view himself as an environmentalist, but he understands how his actions might paint him with that brush. “I’m not an environmentalist,” said Veilleux, general manager of the U.S. operations of natural health ingredient manufacturer Euromed. “I’m a pragmatist. There’s a difference. A lot of environmentalists have characterized their cause as one that pits them directly against corporate America. I’m part of corporate America, but I also recognize the debt I owe to the environment and want to do my fair share to protect it. In the long run, it’s just good for business and there are plenty of examples throughout history of how our environment is one of our most valuable natural resources.” Veilleux’s company is partner with the Everglades Foundation in a campaign dubbed Glade-iator (www.glade-iator.org), which is a model of the public-private partnership Veilleux believes is good for business.
