They’re now stocking Step Forward Paper. It’s not your average tree-killer. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. ### What’s the Big Deal About This Paper? Here’s the scoop: [Step Forward Paper](https://greenlivingguy.com/2012/11/sunpower-launches-new-ac-solar-panels-with-integrated-microinverter-solution/) is 80% wheat-straw waste. You heard that right. It’s paper made from leftover wheat stalks. The remaining 20%? Responsibly sourced wood fiber. It’s like the superhero of paper products. #### Wheat-Straw: The Unlikely Paper Hero So, why wheat-straw? Well, it’s abundant. Farmers produce it as a byproduct of wheat harvests. Moreover, it’s usually burned or left to rot. Now, it’s becoming paper. Talk about upcycling! ### Staples Takes a Stand Staples isn’t just jumping on the green bandwagon. They’re driving it. By exclusively offering Step Forward Paper, they’re making a bold statement. They’re saying, “Hey, we care about the planet.” And they’re making it easy for you to care too. #### The Environmental Impact: It’s Huge Let’s crunch some numbers. One box of Step Forward Paper saves two trees. That’s right, two whole trees. Now, imagine if every office in America switched. We’d be saving forests faster than you can say “photosynthesis. ### Celebrities Join the Cause Guess who’s behind this [eco-friendly paper](https://greenlivingguy.com/2021/11/why-choosing-eco-friendly-paper-matters/)? None other than Woody Harrelson. Yes, the actor. He’s not just playing green on screen. He’s living it. Harrelson co-founded Step Forward Paper. Now that’s star power put to good use. ### The Price of Going Green Here’s the million-dollar question: Is it more expensive? Surprisingly, not by much. It’s competitively priced with other eco-friendly papers. Plus, can you really put a price on [saving the planet](https://greenlivingguy.com/2021/03/6-simple-things-you-can-do-to-save-the-planet/)? ## A Step Forward for Office Sustainability This isn’t just about paper. It’s about changing how we think about office supplies. It’s about making sustainability the norm, not the exception. Every time you print, you’re making a choice. Now, thanks to Staples and Step Forward, it’s easier to make the right one. ### The Future is Wheat-Straw Will wheat-straw paper become the new normal? Only time will tell. But with Staples backing it, the future looks promising. And a little bit more wheat-colored. #### Your Move, America So, next time you’re low on paper, think wheat-straw. Head to Staples. Grab a box of Step Forward Paper. You’ll be doing your part to save trees, one sheet at a time. Who knew being eco-friendly could be so easy? #### Sources: 1: Environmental Paper Network – The State of the Global Paper Industry [https://environmentalpaper.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/StateOfTheGlobalPaperIndustry2018_FullReport-Final-1.pdf](https://environmentalpaper.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/StateOfTheGlobalPaperIndustry2018_FullReport-Final-1.pdf) 2: World Wildlife Fund – Responsible Forestry and Sustainable Paper [https://www.worldwildlife.org/industries/pulp-and-paper](https://www.worldwildlife.org/industries/pulp-and-paper) 3: [Green America](https://greenlivingguy.com/2020/07/climate-victory-gardens-tops-1000-milestone-green-america-releases-new-how-to-guide/)– Better Paper Project [https://www.greenamerica.org/better-paper-project](https://www.greenamerica.org/better-paper-project) ## 󠀁[⌊Staples launches the first high-quality and affordably priced straw-basedcopy paper in the U.S., Step Forward Paper™ available exclusively on Staples.com and for order in Staples stores, through in-store kiosks.⌉⌊Staples launches the first high-quality and affordably priced straw-basedcopy paper in the U.S., Step Forward Paper™ available exclusively on Staples.com and for order in Staples stores, through in-store kiosks.⌉󠀁[ [⌊Staples again marks an important step forward in the protection of forests with the launch of the first high-quality and affordably priced straw-basedcopy paper in the U.S., Step Forward Paper™ available exclusively on Staples.com and for order in Staples stores, through in-store kiosks.⌉⌊Staples again marks an important step forward in the protection of forests with the launch of the first high-quality and affordably priced straw-basedcopy paper in the U.S., Step Forward Paper™ available exclusively on Staples.com and for order in Staples stores, through in-store kiosks .⌉[ ![author avatar](https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/df91669667126e1290c21ee0342c386e2da19d588d4d9ca6560bd82ed59a9641? s=300&d=monsterid&r=g) greenlivingguy The Green Living Guy, Seth Leitman is an independent power producer, a green living expert, and Editor of the McGraw-Hill, TAB Green Guru Guides.
