Largest Electric Car Charging Services Firm Further Expands EV Charging Availability in Largest Worldwide Market

MIAMI BEACH, Fla., April 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Car Charging Group, Inc. (OTCQB: CCGI) (“CarCharging”), a nationwide provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging services, announced that through its partnership with City Park, the company has expanded the availability of EV charging services at City Park’s Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) Garage. The property is located at 147 Minna Street in San Francisco, California.

The MOMA Garage is centrally located in downtown San Francisco between 3rd Street and New Montgomery Street, and provides easy access to SFMOMA and the Moscone Center. The property is also within walking distance of fine dining and shopping, as well as San Francisco’s Financial District and the Embarcadero.

CarCharging originally deployed EV charging services at the MOMA Garage in 2013 and over the past year, the demand for EV fueling has continued to expand. The charging stations have been consistently utilized, which demonstrates the need for additional public EV charging infrastructure.

“With the strength of the EV market in California and its prime location in the center of San Francisco’s financial district, it’s not a surprise that the demand for the EV charging services at MOMA Garage has grown,” said Michael D. Farkas, CEO of CarCharging. “With recent articles discussing the waiting times at EV charging locations, we appreciate the support of our partners, such as City Park and their client Wilson Meany, in assisting us in meeting the needs of the EV drivers in the area.”

“At City Park, we are dedicated to making a positive impact on the environment and we see EV charging stations as one of the amenities that benefits our customers, our clients, their tenants and guests, and our community as a whole,” said Spencer Sechler, Director of Marketing at City Park. “As a company who relies on passenger vehicles to generate our revenues, we are committed to help provide “green” alternatives to fossil based fuels. In fact, our own CEO drives a 100% electric vehicle.”

The EV charging services for the MOMA Garage are provided by Level II EV charging stations, which provide 240 volts with 32 amps of power to quickly recharge an electric vehicle’s battery. The additional charging services are located next to the original EV charging station on the street level of the parking facility. To initiate use and payment at this location, EV drivers can easily request CarCharging’s evCharge card online, and attach the small card to their keychain. CarCharging’s EV charging stations also accept direct payment via credit card.
