Do you live in America and want sales of EVs to go up? Well, I have a great scheme that will boost the take up of alternative fuels and electric vehicles (EVs)? Then you could be in line for a grant of up to $4.5 million to help develop the idea.

First off, the offer comes from the US Department of Energy.

It’s cause they are looking for “highly innovative approaches to increase the acceptance and deployment of and sales of EVs”.

Covering not just sales of EVs, but also vehicles powered by other alternative fuels. That’s such as hydrogen, lpg, natural gas, methanol, ethanol and other alcohols. So the funding opportunity encompasses three areas.

These are: AFV demonstration and enhanced driver experience projects.

Also AFV training for first responders, public safety officials and critical service providers; and the incorporation of AFVs into emergency response and preparedness operations.

One idea ahead of its time. Then, is the adoption of Renault Twizy by the Paris fire brigade. The rear seat of the quadricycle has been removed. Also replaced by emergency lifesaving equipment including fire extinguishers. Also oxygen tanks, fire suit and helmet and a first-aid kit.

Therefore, due to its compact size, the Twizy can often get to an emergency before the major appliances. Best is all the while having no impact on the environment.

If you can come up with an idea like sales of EVs or other alternative fuels. Ideas as good or even better, point your mouse in this direction.
