Why Home Geothermal Systems Might Soon Be More Affordable for U.S. Homeowners

My buddy Jay Egg was able to write a story on NatGeo about Geothermal.  As anyone who regularly reads this site, one should know that this is my favorite kind of Drill Baby Drill!!

As Jay writes in the story:

“Geothermal heating and cooling systems have been successfully implemented for at least 70 years in the United States, but for many homeowners, they are still a “new” option.  And when an energy efficient technology is new or more expensive, regardless of the benefits, it becomes a novelty of sorts for those with an adventurous spirit and plenty of money, leaving the rest of us paying our higher energy bills”Geothermal_Illustration1000-590x429

I believe Jay is better at explaining Geothermal so I’ll let him take it from here. Stay tuned though for more stories on geothermal.  This is something every house should do and with incentives added by States, it could ring true. Plus, it’s serious work to do geothermal and it creates new jobs!
