Here’s a really cool one folks. Seems that four Ford dealerships are going green in a big way. Ford just announced its collaboration with Wind Energy Corporation on an exclusive pilot program to bring an innovative clean energy source to its dealers. Under the pilot program, Wind Energy will install wind sail and solar panel systems at four Ford dealerships in New York, Michigan, and California to help power dealer facilities, including electric vehicle charging stations and lot lighting.

The systems are expected to deliver 20,000 kilowatts of electricity each year, which is enough to power two average-sized homes for a year. Participating dealers are electric vehicle-certified and were selected for their exceptional commitment to clean energy, as well as their wind and solar-efficient locations.
