Ultra-low running costs based on fuel economy, residual values, tax and insurance ratings; ‘Jaguar Care’ reinforces the Jaguar XE’s place at the top of its class for cost of ownership
The Jaguar XE’s outstanding real world fuel economy was showcased by world-famous Hollywood actor Idris Elba’s 750-mile London to Berlin journey which achieved over 65mpg (4.3l/100km) on a variety of roads and in tough weather conditions.
The 163PS 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel is the most efficient Jaguar, delivering CO2 emissions as low as 99g/km
XE has already seen strong customer interest in both the private and fleet markets three months ahead of the on-sale date
After collecting numerous awards for its looks the Jaguar XE has now added further value to the equation. Not only does the XE have the lowest projected cost of ownership compared with its key competitors in its class over three years, it’s now even more appealing thanks to ‘Jaguar Care’, a new three-year warranty and unlimited mileage servicing and roadside assistance package.
‘Jaguar Care’ makes owning a Jaguar easier than ever before. XE owners in Europe1 will benefit from ‘Jaguar Care,’ bringing peace of mind and avoiding any unexpected costs for the first three years of ownership, regardless of mileage (excluding wear and tear).
The Jaguar XE offers excellent economic credentials, highlighted by the 2.0-litre 163PS diesel manual model, which can return 75mpg (3.8l/100km) and emits just 99g/km CO2. That makes it more efficient than any of its combustion-engine-powered premium rivals. The XE 2.0D is fuel efficient in the real world as showcased by actor, musician and driving enthusiast Idris Elba’s recent 750-mile journey from London to Berlin where he achieved 65mpg, despite freezing conditions and a mixture of road types.
Residual value is a key factor in cost of ownership and experts across Europe, including Kee Resources and CDL, have rated XE ahead of all its rivals in the UK market. The XE is also rated as best-in-class for residual values by L’Argus in the French market.
Jaguar Land Rover’s Global Sales Director, Andy Goss said, “The Jaguar XE’s low total cost of ownership is now opening up the brand to new customers and retail books are filling up quickly.
The combination of good residual values and cost of ownership has been noticed in the fleet markets too, with strong interest from global corporates.”
With a competitive entry price of £26,995 in the UK, customer deliveries will start in May 2015.
