Stacy Fitzgerald-Redd’s Perspective

Celebrated on a global scale, Earth Day serves as a reminder. Especially of the beauty of our planet. Moreover and how vital it is for us to take care of our environment. It also provides an unparalleled opportunity. For that’s to bring attention to the need for cleanliness and the preservation of our world.

InsulationA way to improve the energy efficiency of your home is most effectively by adding insulation. This will most certainly help keep the temperature inside your house consistent. All which can have a positive effect on your energy bills.

On April 22 – the 45th anniversary of Earth Day. So the North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) worked to bring attention to their efforts. Especially in conserving the environment through insulation. As the leading voice of the insulation industry. For NAIMA focuses on using fiber glass. That’s as well as rock wool and slag wool insulation. Most noteworthy to promote environmental preservation.

Insulation time folks!

Insulating a residence with fiberglass more interestingly is a great way to decrease the emission of greenhouse gases. For a study done by Harvard University showed that the 46 million single-family homes can save. I mean all of the homes in the U.S. not properly insulated. For they could save over 800 Trillion BTUs of energy yearly. Especially if they were upgraded to meet the 2000 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC).

Insulation provides a boost to the comfort of the home by controlling the temperature and reducing noise levels.

Lower Expenditure on Heating and Cooling Services

When it comes to increasing comfort and the environment, fiber glass insulation is a great choice. This insulation helps to block the flow of heat, which allows homeowners to use less energy for heating in the winter and cooling in the summer. This is estimated to save households about $5.9 billion a year when it comes to energy consumption.

A study conducted by Harvard University revealed that proper insulation levels in homes can lead to a significant public health benefit. It was noted that 6,500 fewer asthma attacks and 240 fewer premature deaths occur every year due to insulation, resulting in households around the country saving approximately $1.3 billion annually in healthcare costs.

Homeowners, contractors, inspectors and builders can all benefit from visiting http://www.naima.org/index.php. There they can find information about the advantages of using fiberglass, rock wool and slag wool insulation products.

Invest in insulation today for a better tomorrow.
