The acceptance of Light Emitting Diodes (LED) lighting across the board has helped save energy, money and the environment.

Recentlysuperbowl lit up by ephesus lighting, I wrote about how sporting events are going LED.  LED’s illuminated the Super Bowl this year. This rapid adoption of LED has lead Ephesus engineers to estimate that by Earth Day 2016, sports and entertainment facilities more than 200 million kilowatts of energy and 150,000 tons of CO2 emissions from being released into the atmosphere.

line is, LEDs offer a number of promising environmental benefits, and they are often viewed as the future of green lighting. According to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), LEDs eventually could reduce by 50 percent the amount of energy we use for lighting globally and reduce by 10 percent the total amount of electricity we use.

LEDs could reduce projected 2025 global carbon emissions by 300 megatons per year while creating new jobs.

My sponsor, MSi Lighting has been reported on many times about their green business accomplishments. I can tell you I’ve been working on green lighting since the early 2000s, and things are not only getting interesting, they are helping our economy. MSI Lighting is just one company that is expanding, growing and wants to get bigger in America for green jobs.

MSi recently teamed up with 3M to private label LED bulbs. Expect to see them in Walmart and other major retailers nationwide.

Even Lunera Lighting just replaced lamps in a school district. It’s really awesome and impressive to me when the simple act of changing a lamp can change lives. The school’s lighting energy use was lowered by 15.9 kWh, saving $2,100 annually, proving Lunera’s lamps are valuable to own. Lunera’s Helen Lamp SSL Downlight Retrofits are also reliable to operate with their 50,000 hour lifetime that lasts five times longer than the now obsolete CFLs they replaced.

This is big for school districts across the globe. One building saved $2,100 but that doesn’t include reduced maintenance costs or cooling costs (all other lighting runs hotter than LED). As well that savings is only reduced supply costs; not delivery fees which are usually more than the $2,100 saved.

At my school district in Briarcliff Manor, NY we only replaced the outdoor lighting and kept costs flat. This is huge because there was an increase in the cost of electricity. We estimate we will in total save $250,000 per year once we replace the lighting in the buildings. That’s money that can go toward teachers or books.

MyLed panels attention has recently been drawn to a specialist for the design, retail and manufacture of LED lighting based in the United Kingdom, INUI. With a wealth of experience, their expertise lies in supplying LED lights to commercial customers from across a range of sectors and industries – including a variety of high-end garages and car showrooms. One particular area of interest, especially within the commercial sector, is LED panels which utilise the latest technology to develop a stylish solution for businesses whilst reducing their fittings and costs.

So watch for more announcements worldwide of LED stores. This technology is part of our lives and will only expand going forward.
