Wine Institute has launched the certificate for a California Sustainable Winegrowing Ambassador Course. For its new online certificate class that provides education about sustainable practices used for California wine. In addition, the free, one-hour course helps both consumers and wine professionals. All to learn and test their understanding of the sustainable practices of California wineries. Moreover and vineyards. After reading through the self-paced online materials. So you’ll have the opportunity to complete a quiz. Also and earn a certificate as a California Sustainable Winegrowing Ambassador!

The APEC Model Wine Certificate is a multi-purpose certificate used for Certificates of Authenticity/Free Sale, Certificates of Health/Sanitation, and Certificates of Origin. The certificate is currently applicable to Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Papua New Guinea. Also Peru, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Chinese Taipei, Thailand and Vietnam. Wine exporters to China should continue to use the current “Consolidated” Wine Export Certificate.

California winegrape growers and winemakers are leaders in sustainability. The long-term commitment to sustainability by the state’s wine community has helped protect the soil. California Green Medal Awards

The first California Green Medal: Sustainable Winegrowing Leadership Award winners were announced on April 13. The California Green Medal showcases some of the leading wineries and vineyards committed to sustainability. Winners were selected in four categories:

  1. Leader – Fetzer Vineyards
  2. Environment – Benziger Family Winery
  3. Community – Nord Vineyard Services
  4. Business – Trinchero Family Estates

The awards were developed by the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance (CSWA). In addition to California Association of Winegrape Growers and Lodi Winegrape Commission. Napa Valley Vintners, Vineyard Team and Wine Institute. Learn more about it here:
