## Solarize Signs Up Woodstock & Rosendale for Ulster County “Green Hubs” to Receive Time-Limited Solar Installation Discounts

### Green Business Community Solar Helps Woodstock Residents, Business Owners ‘Declare Energy Independence’ on July 1st

To celebrate July 4th, also known as Independence Day, and additionally to promote
new financial incentives for New Yorkers eager to adopt solar energy solutions,
the towns of Woodstock and Rosendale have enthusiastically signed up for the Solarize
Hudson Valley initiative. Moreover, this program not only enables residents to access
affordable solar power. It also offers enticing discounts for those who decide to
enroll.

By joining this initiative, community members take a [step towards reducing](https://greenlivingguy.com/2011/08/canadas-environment-minister-announces-important-step-towards-reducing-electricity-sector-emissions/)
their energy costs. They are also actively contributing to environmental sustainability.
Furthermore, this is where the [Solarize Solar Energy campaign](https://greenlivingguy.com/2015/07/local-solar-energy-campaigns-promoting-clean-energy/)
truly shines. It encourages [local participation in renewable energy](https://greenlivingguy.com/2010/09/local-renewable-energy-a-sustainable-solution-for-new-york-city/)
practices.

In fact, Solarize campaigns represent a vital component of New York’s [Community Solar initiatives](https://poststar.com/news/local/cheaper-solar-energy-offered-in-region/article_ea1a64c2-87ca-581d-a9e7-cb82734fa3ac.html).
These aim to make solar energy more accessible and cost-effective for all residents.
This effectively fosters a greener future for the entire region.

Through these collective efforts, therefore, towns like Woodstock and Rosendale
are setting an inspiring example. They show [community](https://greenlivingguy.com/2021/09/unexpected-ways-to-reduce-your-communitys-carbon-footprint/)
commitment to clean energy and the reduction of carbon footprints.

Energy and its benefits.

> According to local coordinator Kirk Ritchey, “We in Woodstock have studied this
> program in depth and, consequently, could not be more pleased to be chosen. Additionally,

It [reduces](https://greenlivingguy.com/2014/07/china-reducing-solar-costs/) the“
soft costs” of marketing. Additionally, it connects communities with pre-qualified

### New York’s now Third in US for new solar capacity during the first quarter of 2015.

New York, notably, trailed only California and Nevada in Q1, according to the recently
released U.S. [Solar Market Insight Report](https://greenlivingguy.com/2018/04/report-addresses-barriers-to-low-income-solar-ownership-in-vermont/).
This report was compiled by GTM Research and the [Solar Energy Industries](https://greenlivingguy.com/2011/03/us-solar-energy-industry-experiences-record-breaking-growth-in-2010/)
Association (SEIA). It not only highlights the growth in [solar energy adoption in these states](https://greenlivingguy.com/2022/02/state-solar-power-10-best/),
but it also emphasizes the significant investments and policy initiatives. These
have, in turn, propelled [New York](https://greenlivingguy.com/2016/08/ny-green-bank-announces-37-million-solar-deal/)
into a prominent position within the solar market. With increasing public awareness
of sustainability issues and state incentives promoting [renewable energy](https://greenlivingguy.com/2013/05/understanding-livestock-and-agricultural-emissions/),
New York is, therefore, on a promising trajectory. It aims to bolster its solar
capacity further. Subsequently, [New York](https://greenlivingguy.com/2019/12/clean-coal-energy-isnt-green-heres-why/)
plays a crucial role in the nation’s transition to clean energy. Furthermore, Solarize
