Whether it’s a large development or your own house that can be heated, cooled and powered for less money and with a smaller footprint, it’s good for the budget, the environment and future generations. Inspired by the work they do, we’ve compiled a list of 17 green energy experts on LinkedIn who are all working, one way or another, to bring clean technology and solutions to industries, across markets and around the world.

I was right in the Middle so I guess that’s Good. LOL. Anyway here’s their review of me.

SETH LEITMAN

A green living and electric car expert, author, reporter and radio host, Seth Leitman is The Green Living Guy (dot com). He writes and talks about everything green, and is an energy efficiency and environmental consultant. In addition to having written the books Build Your Own Electric Vehicle and The Green Guru Guides, he is consulting series editor to McGraw-Hill and continues to contribute articles to The Huffington Post, Triple Pundit and Mother Earth News.

SAM ADJANGBA

Helping businesses save energy dollars is what Sam Adjangba does. For he is an energy consultant with Advisors Energy Group, does best. The New York firm is dedicated to cutting energy costs. Especially for users, including industrial, institutional and commercial clients. That’s whether they are electricity or natural gas bills. They do this by offering services and technologies. That’s including everything from consortium and deregulated markets to smart grids and co-generation systems.

“Ecommando” is an action packed Web series that follows Ex-Navy Seal and environmentally clueless Leon Green (Jason Nash, star of Atom.com’s “The Shaman” and “Jason Nash Is Married”). Leon is quite possibly the least qualified person on the planet to Save Mother Earth, but he is forced to take a job protecting the environment after his girlfriend drives off in his home. Armed with his perma-stoned car, Bro (voiced by David Cross, “Arrested Development”), the duo becomes “the newest environmental disaster.” Can Leon get over his tough guy attitude long enough to take on the bad guys and save the day? To spruce up New York City with even more greenery this spring, the New York Restoration Project has partnered with leading online charity auction site, charitybuzz.com, for the first annual Earth Day Auction. Available through May 5 at charitybuzz.com/auctions/NYRPEarthDay, the Restore New York City, Restore the Earth Auction offers bidders the chance to spend the day with the organization’s founder, Bette Midler or act as a muse for a custom painting by renowned artist, Ryan Paul Simmons. The Los Angeles City Council approved moving forward with the Los Angeles Green Business Certification Program. The City of Los Angeles’ initiative, to be administered by the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD), will provide information on how to identify a green business and how businesses can adopt sustainable practices. One of the aims is to enable consumers to support firms that strive to protect the environment. The program was announced at a news conference at Ciudad restaurant. Green Seal, Inc., the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, Green Globe and dineLA, a part of LA INC, The Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau will join the LACCD in its work on this effort.
Joe Veilleux doesn’t view himself as an environmentalist, but he understands how his actions might paint him with that brush. “I’m not an environmentalist,” said Veilleux, general manager of the U.S. operations of natural health ingredient manufacturer Euromed. “I’m a pragmatist. There’s a difference. A lot of environmentalists have characterized their cause as one that pits them directly against corporate America. I’m part of corporate America, but I also recognize the debt I owe to the environment and want to do my fair share to protect it. In the long run, it’s just good for business and there are plenty of examples throughout history of how our environment is one of our most valuable natural resources.” Veilleux’s company is partner with the Everglades Foundation in a campaign dubbed Glade-iator (www.glade-iator.org), which is a model of the public-private partnership Veilleux believes is good for business.
