That’s meaning it aims to use materials which are sustainable and host a useful life past their original intention. In addition, the hotel produces approximately 1/3 of the energy they consume. So all the hotel’s electricity is obtained from renewable resources.
As we know, the interest in eco-tourism and ‘green’ travel on the rise. So more and more hotels are working hard to achieve eco-friendly certifications. That’s helping the appeal of the growing traveler interest. Also I love the electric vehicle charging stations installed too.

Finally, the Hotel Spa Empuries is near the Greek and Roman ruins and amongst pine trees. So this building from 1907 has undergone a recent renovation. Yet it is now one of the most eco-friendly hotels “I have ever come across”. Yet at the same time one of the most beautiful!
