 _ If the growth of electric cars has piqued your interest – up to 18,000
of them in New York now.

Coming soon, we will host an drive electric car show, where visitors will have the
chance to speak with owners and get a look at their EV cars.

Ownership of electric cars has grown in recent years. In 2012 the number of electric
cars in the state was just 2,800. By 2014, that number had grown to 10,000, then
to 18,000 last year. There are 1,600 charging stations statewide, with many in the
Lower Hudson Valley clustered around train stations.

#### Teatown

Teatown is a nonprofit nature preserve and environmental education center in the
Lower Hudson Valley, with 15 miles of hiking trails, a two-acre island refuge for
over 230 species of native wildflowers, year-round programming, wildlife exhibits,
and natural science day camps in the summer and school breaks.
