Urban Solar is pleased to announce a nice contract. For it has been awarded a three-year contract. That’s to supply its PV Stop lighting systems. All to the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA). So congrats. Especially after successfully winning a competitive solicitation.

I mean Urban Solar solutions have enhanced safety and rider experience all over. When I mean all over I mean at 16,000 plus bus stops. All across North America.

OCTA chose Urban Solar’s PV Stop to increase safety for riders. Thereby further enhancing its bus stop amenities. The PV Stop is a UL Listed. Also a solar powered system. One with high intensity LED lighting.

So Urban Solar’s roots are in transit-specific design. For that’s particularly with bus stops. In addition to bus shelters. I think it’s cool.

No Trenching

Especially to use a company like this to help with proper lighting. Moreover, Urban Solar provides autonomous, stand-alone off-grid systems.

All which reduce the need for disruptive and also expensive trenching. I mean to utility poles. Now I can tell you the pain it is to trench. For I mean the costs associated with trenching. Plus all the renting or equipment that must come to the job site. It’s a pain.

Warranty plus UL Rated

Now Urban Solar lighting products have an industry-leading warranty. For they all pass testing. All by Underwriters Laboratories (UL). Most importantly, UL is the most prestigious. It’s a nationally recognized testing laboratory (NRTL) worldwide.

More than 100 of Urban Solar’s PV Stops were successfully installed in 2012. So this award will add. Add to the transportation authority’s current 1,200+ lighting units installed. In addition, all at bus stops along major transit corridors.
