technologies worldwide

### What the Course Covers

The Solar Energy – Solar Technology and Its Use Worldwide course introduces learners
to the science, technology, and real-world applications of solar power. It begins
with the fundamentals of how solar energy works—covering the physics of sunlight,
solar radiation, and energy conversion.

It then moves into the different types of solar technologies, such as:

 1. Photovoltaic (PV) systems – Used to directly convert sunlight into electricity.
 2. Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) – Employing mirrors or lenses to focus sunlight
and produce heat for electricity generation.
 3. Solar water heating systems – Using thermal energy to heat water for residential,
    commercial, and industrial use.

Learners also explore how solar technology is applied in various sectors—ranging
from rural electrification in developing countries to grid-connected power plants
in advanced economies.

Alison CEO Mike Feerick says, “In today’s world, being aware of
innovative ideas towards energy sustainability and the technology available is very
important to our survival. Alison is interested in sharing knowledge to empower
all. This free online course is on Solar Energy and Solar Technology. Its use Worldwide
is part of the company’s philosophy – to empower through education.”

### Designed for All Learning Levels

One of the strengths of this course is its accessibility. Alison has structured
it for a broad audience:

 1. Homeowners considering [installing solar panels](https://greenlivingguy.com/2019/03/installing-home-solar-panels-as-a-drive-to-help-the-environment/).
 2. Students interested in renewable energy careers.
 3. Engineers and technicians seeking to refresh their knowledge.
 4. Policy makers and business leaders exploring sustainable strategies.

The self-paced format means learners can complete modules at their own convenience,
without geographic or financial barriers.

CEO Mike Feerick on Why Education Is Key

Alison’s founder and CEO, [Mike Feerick](https://centurycity.news/alison-launch-solar-energy-course-p973-178.htm),
emphasizes the link between education and real-world change:

“In today’s world, being aware of innovative ideas towards energy sustainability
and the technology available is very important to our survival. Alison is interested
in sharing knowledge to empower all. This free online course on Solar Energy – Solar
Technology and Its Use Worldwide is part of the company’s philosophy – to empower
through education.”

Feerick’s words highlight Alison’s commitment to making renewable energy knowledge
universally accessible. This philosophy is echoed in [Educations.com](https://www.educations.com/institutions/alison-free-online-learning/diploma-in-solar-energy-engineering),
which also promotes Alison’s sustainability-focused learning programs.

### Why Solar Education Matters Right Now

The timing of this course is no coincidence. The global solar energy market is expanding
rapidly—both in developed and developing nations. According to industry reports,
worldwide solar capacity has been doubling every few years, driven by falling costs,
supportive policies, and rising public demand for clean power.

However, for solar to achieve its full potential, there must be a knowledgeable
workforce and informed consumers. Without public understanding, adoption rates slow.
Without trained professionals, installations may be inefficient or fail to meet
safety standards.

Education is the bridge between ambition and achievement. A free course like Alison’s
helps close this knowledge gap, equipping individuals to make informed choices and
contribute to a sustainable energy future.

### Course Benefits Beyond Knowledge

Completing the Solar Energy – Solar Technology and Its Use Worldwide course offers
benefits that go beyond understanding solar power:

 1. Career Opportunities – A certificate from Alison can enhance resumes, particularly
for roles in renewable energy, construction, or environmental policy.
 2. Practical Decision-Making – Learners can better evaluate solar investments for
    their homes or businesses.
 3. Global Perspective – The course examines solar use around the world, providing
context for local and international trends ([Solar Energy Industries Association](https://www.seia.org/)).

### How to Enroll

Enrollment is simple. Interested learners can visit the official course page, sign
up for a free Alison account, and start studying immediately. All materials are
available online, and completion at one’s own pace ensures flexibility for busy
schedules.

### A Step Toward a Sustainable Future

Solar technology is not just about generating clean energy—it’s about creating systems
that reduce emissions, lower energy costs, and empower communities. From remote
villages gaining first-time access to electricity, to urban skyscrapers integrating
rooftop PV systems, solar is reshaping how we power our world (National Renewable
Energy Laboratory).

By offering free, structured learning, Alison is actively contributing to a future
where renewable energy literacy becomes as common as computer literacy. As a result,
decision-makers, workers, and citizens alike will understand the tools available
to combat climate change. Furthermore, this shared knowledge strengthens communities
and accelerates the shift to clean energy.

Final Thoughts

The Solar Energy – Solar Technology and Its Use Worldwide course is more than an
educational resource—instead, it is an invitation. It encourages learners everywhere
to engage with one of the most transformative technologies of our time. Moreover,
it removes the barriers of cost and location. At the same time, it aligns personal
growth with global sustainability goals.

In today’s world, the challenges are complex, yet the solutions remain within reach.
Consequently, initiatives like Alison’s free course play a critical role. They empower
individuals. They also inform communities. In addition, they help build the skilled
workforce needed for a renewable-powered future.

Whether you are an industry professional, a student, or simply someone curious about
solar energy, this course delivers the knowledge and inspiration to make a difference.
Ultimately, in the journey toward a greener planet, education may prove to be the
most powerful solar energy of all.
