As the world’s largest automotive group in unit sales, the Alliance is accelerating convergence and work together initiatives in a range of new automotive technologies. By the end of its strategic plan, the Alliance will launch 12 pure electric models worldwide. These cars will use common EV platforms and components. It’ll also bring to market 40 vehicles worldwide with autonomous drive technology. They also expect to develop robo-vehicle ride-hailing services.

In addition, Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi, the world’s leading automotive alliance, today announced it is one of the partners of DiDi Auto Alliance (the D-Alliance). The D-Alliance formed by DiDi Chuxing (‘DiDi’). DiDi is the top Chinese mobile transportation platform.

Also, DiDi Auto Alliance is an intelligent ride-sharing alliance. It initiated by DiDi that empowers and redefines smart mobility. By promoting the partners along the value chain, it aims to unite all. Hence, they intend to prove itself as the world’s largest full-capacity vehicle operator platform.

Furthermore, Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi signed a memorandum of understanding with DiDi. Back in February that they signed to explore possibilities of future business coöperation. As a result, they want to create a new electric vehicle car-sharing program in China. In addition, the memorandum of understanding signed with DiDi also includes launching robo-vehicle ride-hailing services. That is part of the Alliance 2022 strategic plan launched by Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi.

The Alliance is accelerating convergence and work together initiatives. That’s expected in a range of new automotive technologies. In addition, by the end of its strategic plan, the Alliance will launch 12 pure electric models worldwide. It’ll utilize common EV platforms and components. It’ll also bring to market 40 vehicles worldwide. Each will have autonomous drive technology. Plus they are developing robo-vehicle ride-hailing services.

To support this plan, the Alliance also launched Alliance Ventures. That is a new corporate venture capital fund to invest up to $1 billion. That’s a fund that wants to support open innovation over the next five years.
