First off, with the U.S. Department of Energy estimating families could save up to 25% on utilities.  That’s alone with energy-efficient measures.  Further, this reported by the personal-finance website WalletHub.  They released its report on 2018’s Most & Least Energy-Efficient States.

More importantly, let’s gauge the financial impact of doing more with less energy. Cause the average American household spends at least $2,000 per year on utilities.  More noteworthy, and they spend another $1,968 on motor fuel and oil. That’s cause WalletHub compared the auto and home-energy efficiency in 48 U.S. states. Due to data limitations, Alaska and Hawaii are excluded from analysis.

So the Most Energy-Efficient States

Firstly, New York came in first.  So then was Vermont, Utah, Rhode Island and then Massachusetts.  Further at number 6 is Colorado then Minnesota, Wisconsin and California. Finally, Connecticut as number 10.

Hence, the Least Energy-Efficient States
Next at 39 is Wyoming and then Oklahoma, Kentucky and Texas.  Then we have Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee and Alabama. Finally was Louisiana and South Carolina.
