Commercial, industrial businesses warehouses and office buildings can also move
to more energy-efficient lighting. Why? Because that saves utility costs. It also
yields brighter lighting and is kinder to the environment!  Therefore, that’s the
first of all reaction when thinking on this topic.

Industrial businesses always look for ways to improve their bottom-line and become
more efficient. At the same time, many of these companies also are looking for ways
to improve their environmental impact and become greener. Fortunately, there’s a
way for industrial businesses to carry out both of those goals, and it doesn’t have
to involve a lot of extra work or investment.

Although some companies have made significant investments in green technology. As
a result they are including windmills and solar panels. However those aren’t necessary
for a business to improve its environmental footprint. All while also improving
its bottom-line.
That’s because just about every commercial building in the country
has many opportunities to resolve energy waste issues. Commercial buildings [consume nearly 20 percent of all the energy](https://www.dvirc.org/)
in the United States. Yet a good part of that energy ends up being wasted in one
way or another. Not only does this wasted energy mean consuming precious natural
resources. As well as the unnecessary introduction of more pollution into the environment.
However it also represents a significant cost to businesses. No matter how you look
at it, wasted energy in commercial buildings is an issue about which all industrial
businesses are listening..

While the problem is serious, it can be easier to solve than you might expect. Even
something as relatively small and simple as installing motion detectors. All to
keep lights turned off when no one is in the room. It can make an impact on a business’s
energy consumption. However, we have noticed a complete switch in using ENERGY STAR-
rated equipment in the place of older, less-efficient models is a great way. It’s
also another way businesses can improve their energy consumption. As well as spend
less on their energy bills. Other changes a business can make to its facilities
include ensuring that its HVAC systems are properly insulated and maintained. Therefore
as this helps those systems remain efficient and effective. Adding programmable
thermostats can also help businesses. It can help manage the temperature inside
their buildings more efficiently. Also by giving the HVAC system a rest when no
one is there to need it.

Making commercial buildings more energy-efficient is more than just green. Therefore
it’s good business. That’s becusse it’s making your building more energy-efficient.
It therefore reduces your business’s environmental impact. As well as it improves
your bottom-line. So the following checklist provides you with some ideas for improving
your building’s energy efficiency. Therefore, review it and find out what you can
do.
