# Neel Jani completes successful rollout for Porsche

Weissach. Porsche works with driver Neel Jani (Switzerland). Need to complete the
first kilometers in the new Formula E car at Porsche‘s testing ground in Weissach.
Thereby reaching an important milestone. All are en route to the works entry in 
the ABB FIA Formula E Championship. All, moreover, for Season 6 (2019/20).

### Most important and most noteworthy milestone for Porsche Motorsport’s Formula E project.

So this is the first drive with also a newly developed fully electric Porsche [powertrain](https://greenlivingguy.com/2011/05/electric-powertrain-company-alte-forms-joint-venture-with-inmatech-inc-to-produce-hybrid-electric-storage-devices/).
Passing tests with flying colors and I mean without incident. It also provided valuable
findings. All which most importantly will help the [motorsport engineers](https://greenlivingguy.com/2014/05/abt-sportsline-unveils-formula-e-driver-line-up-with-lucas-di-grassi-daniel-abt/)
prepare the car for the first Formula E race. All in the course of intense testing
over the next few months.

### Fritz Enzinger (Vice President Porsche Motorsport) added that the new Formula E style Porsche powertrain for completed tests on fire.

So clearly it is an important day for everyone involved in this project.

“Many thanks to everyone pour into their heart and soul into constructing the powertrain.
As well as the car which makes this as successful of a rollout possible.

“We still have a lot of work to do on the road to our works entry in Formula E, 
but an important first step taken. Now we will be fully focussed as we continue 
to work on familiarizing ourselves with the particular challenges of Formula E.”
