# LEED Company: Companies Globally Green Building

Let’s go LEED company style. For a recent report stated [80 percent](https://greenlivingguy.com/2017/06/asid-headquarters-in-washington-d-c-is-first-space-in-the-world-to-earn-both-leed-and-well-platinum-certification-under-well-building-standard-v1/)
of companies go LEED to communicate corporate sustainability efforts: to the world.
As reported, by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) this study looked at Fortune
200 companies that were also members of USGBC.

In addition, Rick Fedrizzi, CEO and founding chair, [USGBC](https://greenlivingguy.com/2015/02/usgbcs-top-10-states-for-leed-in-sustainable-building/)
added that this survey first of all demonstrates how successful they have clearly
been.  _

#### Especially in helping link profit to planet.

Finally, LEED also continues to be the [market](https://greenlivingguy.com/2019/10/developers-of-first-platinum-leed-nd-project-offer-greenbuild-takeaway/)
leader. It’s most noteworthy and surprisingly [certifying](https://greenlivingguy.com/2020/02/more-builders-than-ever-are-seeking-green-building-certification/)
2.2 million square feet of commercial space every day.

#### LEED Survey

The survey furthermore about LEED and the Corporate Built Environment. It consequently
showed the following information:

To begin, 82 percent of survey respondents from Fortune 200 companies are likely
to continue using LEED. This is also over the next three years. All most importantly
for new construction or retrofit projects.

As well, 60 percent of surveyed companies believe LEED is [good](https://greenlivingguy.com/2017/05/pittsburgh-leads-north-america-in-properties-committed-to-50-percent-reductions-in-energy-water-emissions-by-2030/).
Finally and for the positively impacts their return on investment (ROI)!

_In addition, 70 percent stated they will pursue LEED. Not just because it’s green
but more importantly [as a means to save money](https://greenlivingguy.com/2011/05/lafarge-leed-app-simplifies-certification-process/).
That is for the reason that it means by being more energy efficient!_

#### Also, 80 percent agree about LEED. It is a key way consequently their company communicates sustainability efforts to stakeholders.

_Another point, 96 percent use LEED to support their sustainability efforts. Nearly
all (93 percent) first of all reported that demonstrating a [commitment to the environment motivates](https://greenlivingguy.com/2011/03/leed-platinum-achievement-for-new-yorks-dec/)
their company to use LEED._

#### Conclusion

In conclusion, USGBC partnered with Keybridge LLC to produce this survey. All which
was targeted at executives in charge of building operations or corporate sustainability
efforts. Furthermore, the survey was conducted between January and March 2015. Finally,
a majority of respondents were USGBC members.
