There’s no way of ignoring it: California is still in a state of drought. Earlier this month, the U.S. Drought Monitor released a report stating the California reservoir storage is the “second lowest on record” for this time of year.

The good news is there may be a bit of relief in sight, as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s most recent forecast predicts a strong El Niño is likely to bring heavy rain to the drought-stricken state this winter. But don’t give up those short showers just yet!
