# Bluewater: Leading the Way in Clean Water Solutions - Link: https://greenlivingguy.com/2019/12/bluewater-leading-the-way-in-clean-water-solutions/ - Published: 2019-12-07T00:03:09-05:00 - Author: greenlivingguy #### Plastic Water Bottles The UN Environment is saying one million plastic drinking bottles are purchased every minute around the world.  So to stop that we now have a company called Bluewater. They are a world leading clean water purification technology. Also, a they are a solutions leader calling on global [energy](https://greenlivingguy.com/2012/06/driven-by-growth-in-energy-efficient-buildings-2017-global-energy-plus-company-market-will-reach-66-billion/). In addition to finance and environment ministers. Those attending the UN’s Climate Conference in Madrid to take a powerful approach to tackling clean water and quality issues. This is to combat the consistent and ever growing spurring sales of [polluting](https://greenlivingguy.com/2011/11/clean-water-act-violations-epa-settlement-koehler-bright-star/) single-use plastic bottles of water. Essentially why we need Bluewater and their work. ### Cradle to Grave for Bluewater  So a Swedish environmental entrepreneur, Mr. Rittri noted how a report by the [Center for International Law ](https://www.ciel.org/plasticandclimate/)( CIEL) is estimating the cradle-to-grave impact of plastic. One excellent way to resolve this is through things like Eco Plastic Wood. Because it requires no painting or annual staining. It also requires very little to no maintenance across its lifespan (50 years).  Also, after 50 years you can recycle that with the company for newer ones. This way, you can [simultaneously](https://greenlivingguy.com/2011/11/clean-water-act-violations-epa-settlement-koehler-bright-star/) reduce your carbon footprint and enjoy a top quality product. They’re weatherproof, won’t rot and are made entirely to how their customers want them. #### ![UN Environment says one million plastic drinking bottles are purchased every minute around the world ](https://i0.wp.com/resources.mynewsdesk.com/image/upload/c_limit%2Cdpr_3.0%2Cf_auto%2Ch_700%2Cq_auto%2Cw_350/zp2zwiz7bujnpnmoz1v7.jpg?resize=105%2C72&quality=52&ssl=1) ### Greenhouse Gases We know and didn’t need the UN to tell us. However, they also concluded that plastic contributes to greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore the [climate emergency](https://greenlivingguy.com/2015/06/climate-change-emergency-essentials-starting-a-food-stockpile-for-survival/) is at every stage of its lifecycle. That’s including production to refining. Essentially because its use and how it is managed as a waste product is horrible! Yes folks, all around the world. So stating most to all plastics are recycled is like why we need Bluewater. I mean even according to a recent study from the [Veolia Group](https://journals.openedition.org/factsreports/5102). They just reported that plastic water bottles are either ending up in landfills or other environments like the oceans. That’s horrible given they pose a grave threat to the marine life. Consequently, the UN has warned that the [planet](https://greenlivingguy.com/2019/11/4-inventions-that-are-saving-our-planet/) is on course for more than a three-degree spike in global temperature.  That’s over pre-industrial levels. I mean even if countries meet commitments made under the 2015 Paris Agreement not good! Here’s the statement from Lucy Almond, Director of [Nature4Climate](https://nature4climate.org/), regarding the new [WWF Living Planet report](https://www.wwf.org.uk/updates/living-planet-report-2018). Please note parenthetically that the  work to tackle [climate change](https://greenlivingguy.com/2019/10/a-factory-made-solution-to-global-climate-change/) isn’t working at cross-purposes. #### All with the need to feed a growing world population. Natural climate solutions are urgently required. Especially to provide a third of the world’s climate solution by 2030. It can work in harmony with sectors like agriculture and forestry. Take reforestation of degraded and unused land. This can effectively remove greenhouse gases from the atmosphere without disturbing prime agricultural land. #### UN and Global Warming Yet ahead of the Madrid gathering, the UN said the global warming is leading to even wider-ranging impacts and more destructive climate impacts. Impacts I mean frankly that would bring mass extinctions. I mean make large parts of the planet uninhabitable. Earlier this year, I reported access to water and sanitation is internationally recognized human right. Yet more than two billion people lack the most basic of services. That came from latest United [Nations](https://greenlivingguy.com/2012/03/united-nations-creates-position-dedicated-to-environment/) World Water Development Report. The report is called Leaving No One Behind. This report exploring the symptoms of exclusion. It also investigates ways to overcome inequalities. The report launched in Geneva, Switzerland. All for World Water Day( 22 March). In addition, a recent study by a team of researchers at Bangor University, UK, found plastic outnumbers baby fish. So in here I mean by seven to one in waters off Hawaii. The study also discovered microplastic particles in the stomachs of commercially fished species. You know, such as swordfish and more importantly others! #### Conclusion As well, Bluewater has won global acclaim for its compact water purifiers. That’s for residential, business and also public dispensing. So the Bluewater water purifier removes chemicals, toxic metals, pharmaceutical residues, and also micro-plastics from tap water. Thereby Bluewater providing clean water. Finally, Bluewater [hydration stations](https://greenlivingguy.com/2019/03/celebrating-world-water-day-bluewater-and-11th-hour-racing-announce-one-million-dollar-2nd-annual-urban-water-challenge/) today are used at global sporting. Also musical and other events. Thereby taking a stand against single use plastic bottles. All from the UK’s The Open golf tournament to the Cape Town Marathon.
