New Kia XCeed is an electric urban crossover. It also secured ‘Product’ design accolades. In addition, the Concept recognized in the ‘Professional Concept’ category.

First of all, the Kia XCeed urban crossover. As well as the ‘Imagine by Kia’ concept that was awarded. All with the prestigious 2020 iF Design Awards.

Both vehicles demonstrate Kia Motors Corporation’s design-led approach. That’s to product development. As well as the brand’s evolution. All in an age also of electrified mobility.

Winning a prize in the ‘Professional Concept’ category. Called the ‘Imagine by Kia’ concept. It’s is a visual embodiment of Kia’s desire. A desire to champion and popularize exciting electric cars. The XCeed was awarded in the ‘Product’ category.

All following the successful introduction of the new urban crossover. Moreover and only for the European new car market in 2019.

This double achievement once again illustrates the Korean manufacturer’s unrivaled strength. Especially in automotive design. Kia also won its first iF Award in 2010.

Also it has created at least one prize-winning vehicle design. That’s every single year since 2010. A brace of prizes in 2020 brings Kia’s total number of iF Design Awards to 20.

‘Professional Concept’ prize for the Imagine by Kia concept

The ‘Imagine by Kia’ concept is a pure electric four-door passenger car. One which draws together elements of a sleek and athletic family sedan. As well as a muscular sports utility vehicle. Then wrap it all up with a versatile, spacious crossover.

Intentionally it’s designed not to sit within the car industry’s predefined vehicle categories. Consequently it is also defined by its next-generation, zero-emissions powertrain. That’s a low-mounted. As well as an induction-charged battery pack. All that powers electric motors on each axle.

Also, The ‘Imagine by Kia’ concept was revealed at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show.

In 2020, Kia is turning even more of its focus away from internal combustion engine vehicles. Yes folks, moreover towards those powered by zero-emissions. Moreover electric power. Designed as a standard bearer for 21st century motoring. The ‘Imagine by Kia’ reinterprets and evolves. I mean to many of the brand’s established brands. Especially in packages designed to excite drivers.

Kia XCeed – another award-winning production car design

Winning the iF ‘Product’ design award. So the Kia XCeed is a new design. One of an urban crossover utility vehicle (CUV). One which combines compact SUV practicality. That’s with the sporty packaging. As well as engaging handling of a hatchback.

In addition, the car engages drivers. All with its sporty handling and comfortable inside.

In conclusion, the car has been designed exclusively. All for European customers. All at Kia’s European design studio in Frankfurt, Germany. So the Kia XCeed went on-sale in Europe; in the second half of 2019.

Also, the first EV goes on-sale soon. That’s in the first half of 2020. Finally, then the arrival of the XCeed Plug-in Hybrid.
