#### _Denis Sverdlov, Founder and CEO of Arrival said,_

_ “UPS has been a strong strategic partner of Arrival, providing valuable insight
to how electric delivery vans are used on the road and how they can be optimised
for drivers. Together our teams have been creating bespoke electric vehicles, based
on our flexible skateboard platforms, that meet the end-to-end needs of UPS from
driving, loading/unloading, depot and back office operations. We are pleased that
today’s investment and vehicle order creates even closer ties between our two companies.”_

unique skateboard platforms enable the creation of vehicles. Most importantly in
any weight, type, size and shape to match customer requirements. Those which are
then deployed close to areas of demand across the globe in Arrival’s microfactories.

Avinash Rugoobur, Chief Strategy Officer** at** Arrival commented

_Arrival has created Generation 2 electric vehicles. He means that are moreover
better. All in price, design and experience. That’s to than traditional fossil fuel
vehicles and existing EVs.

_This gives fleet managers a highly compelling commercial and environmental reason.
All to switch to electric and accelerate the adoption of electric technology globally._

_So at Arrival, they believe this is the most impactful areas to start. Especially
in the [transition to a fully electric](https://greenlivingguy.com/2026/06/caterpillar-bepu-electric-simplifies-the-transition-process/)
future. Now their partnership with UPS. It will drive us both towards their shared
vision of cleaner mobility._

#### Juan Perez, Chief Information and Engineering Officer, UPS commented:

_[UPS](https://greenlivingguy.com/2018/11/ups-launches-first-electric-bike-in-u-s-for-urban-delivery-solution/)
continues to build an integrated fleet of electric vehicles. Now combining with
innovative, large-scale fleet charging technology._ _Because __as mega-trends like
population growth. Then you include urban migration. Also, then include [e-commerce](https://greenlivingguy.com/2021/02/how-smart-homes-lead-to-greener-lifestyles/).
It’s just continuing to accelerate. _

_It’s because UPS__ recognizes the need to work with partners. Moreover and all
around the world._

_All to solve both road congestion and pollution challenges. That’s for our customers
and the communities they serve. Electric vehicles also form a cornerstone. Especially
to their sustainable urban delivery strategies. Taking an active investment role
in Arrival. It actively enables UPS to collaborate. Especially in the design and
production of the three UPS trucks. Now considered the __world’s most advanced [electric delivery vehicles](https://greenlivingguy.com/2005/11/racing-is-electric/)._

In conclusion, all with over 300 million vans and trucks on the road. They are all
consequently fueled by petrol or diesel. So the commercial vehicle segment is a
major contributor to transport emissions. That’s as well as the fastest growing
vehicle segment.

So the rise of e-commerce has contributed to this increase. That’s over the past
decade. Look, I mean the number of parcels delivered per day in NYC alone. It has
quadrupled to 1.5 million. Then also all the while van mileage in the UK. Man o
man it has grown 56% since 2000.

In conclusion, the opportunity to significantly impact climate change. Then coupled
with predictable routes and overnight depot charging. Finally and to then make commercial
vehicles perfectly suited. Moreover and all seamlessly switch to electric.
