The average American family uses 400 gallons of water a day. In addition, there are a number of things families can do to reduce that number greatly. For example, keeping a pitcher of cold water in the fridge instead of running the water. Running it until cold water hits the tap. Another option could be replacing your home’s older toilets to more water efficient toilets.
