# Further Evidence Pandemic helping Climate Crisis

#### In addition, global economic growth is driven by consumer consumption. However, and unfortunately, consumption is a culprit. For it’s also polluting our planet.

Therefore to tackle the climate crisis, we need [cleaner energy](https://greenlivingguy.com/2020/04/environmental-concerns-keep-global-attention-focused-on-renewable-energy-sources/).

the world was able to see. All the impact a [lockdown](https://greenlivingguy.com/2020/05/green-living-guy-talks-corona-with-girlie-girl-army-2/)
can have on our environment. People were forced to give up their cars and coal. 
I also mean their entire ways of life.

So research shows [carbon monoxide levels](https://greenlivingguy.com/2011/12/epa-funding-to-reduce-air-pollution-from-ferries-operating-between-new-jersey-and-new-york/)
were reduced. That’s by nearly 50% compared to levels in the same period last year.
[Emissions](https://greenlivingguy.com/2019/12/realistic-ways-you-can-cut-carbon-emissions-combat-climate-change-today/)
of the planet-heating [gas](https://greenlivingguy.com/2020/03/fast-facts-about-greenhouse-gas-emissions/)
[CO2](https://greenlivingguy.com/2014/01/avoidable-co2-what-do-you-see-what-do-you-see-now/)
also fell sharply.
