If we do not pull the chains and continue with our recklessness, we might lose this planet for good.

We are steadily gyrating towards utter obliteration, and it is important to adopt sustainability. Adopting sustainability should not only be confined to the use of our resources, but also in the way we act. 

Be it sharing vehicles or playing at a casino, sustainabilitysustainability is the only way to truly become eco-friendly. Having said that, in this article, we shall take a look at the importance of eco-friendly casinos. MGM Resorts have recently pledged to ditch the use of single-use plastics. They have also taken a step towards reducing and recycling waste. They have estimated to throw out about 860,000 straws and are slowly inching towards this goal. 

Though they have still not quite reached their dream goal, chances are that they will accomplish so in a short time. This step by MGM Resorts shall reduce the total use of plastics significantly and help oceans and lands breathe.

Mandalay Bay Resorts

If we could rate the eco-friendliness of this casino, we would give it 8 stars out of 10. The casino is known for being one of the best eco-friendly casinos in the world. In a very short span, they have made a mark as an eco-friendly casino and are extremely cautious of their behavior. 

They not only recycle waste but also use alternative means of energy. They are mindful of their actions and donate useless linen to NSPCA. 

From turning off their heating systems to using resources mindfully, Mandalay Bay Resorts have its intentions pure and its heart in the right place.

It is not just casinos that need to go green and become eco-friendly. Industries across several verticals also need to do the same. The casinos are the life force of the tourism industry, and the tourism industry produces a lot of waste every year.

The Los Angeles City Council approved moving forward with the Los Angeles Green Business Certification Program. The City of Los Angeles’ initiative, to be administered by the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD), will provide information on how to identify a green business and how businesses can adopt sustainable practices. One of the aims is to enable consumers to support firms that strive to protect the environment. The program was announced at a news conference at Ciudad restaurant. Green Seal, Inc., the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, Green Globe and dineLA, a part of LA INC, The Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau will join the LACCD in its work on this effort.
Joe Veilleux doesn’t view himself as an environmentalist, but he understands how his actions might paint him with that brush. “I’m not an environmentalist,” said Veilleux, general manager of the U.S. operations of natural health ingredient manufacturer Euromed. “I’m a pragmatist. There’s a difference. A lot of environmentalists have characterized their cause as one that pits them directly against corporate America. I’m part of corporate America, but I also recognize the debt I owe to the environment and want to do my fair share to protect it.
