Terzo Millennio

On occasion this announcement Lamborghini presents the new design concept. They called it “Lamborghini of the Terzo Millennio”. So the concept physically imagines design and technology theories of tomorrow. All while sustaining the visual intrigue and breath-taking performance. As well as and most importantly, the visceral emotion found in every dimension of a Lamborghini. It is for future super sports car enthusiasts.

The concept car Lamborghini Terzo Millennio is on display during the Volkswagen Group Night. The night with the title “Shaping the future. Urban mobility.“ All on the evening before the press days of the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. So this futuristic super sports car concept of an electric Lamborghini. It started presenting for the first time at the MIT in Boston in 2017. As well as and on display at the Festival Automobile International in Paris in January 2018.

Technological Concept

The technological goal of the project is to enable Lamborghini to discuss the future of the super sports car in five different dimensions. They are energy storage systems, innovative materials, propulsion system, visionary design, and emotion.

The first two dimensions conceived together with the two laboratories at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology: the “Dinca Research Lab”, led by Prof. Mircea Dinca, Department of Chemistry and the “Mechanosynthesis Group”, led by Prof. Anastasios John Hart, Department of Mechanical Engineering. The collaboration is substantially financed by Automobili Lamborghini and intended to lead to radical innovation in energy storage systems technology and material science.

Collaborate with MIT

In conclusion and collaborating with MIT for their R&D department. For it’s clearly an exceptional opportunity to do what Lamborghini has always been very good at. It’s rewriting the rules on super sports cars. Now they are presenting an exciting and also a very progressive concept car. We are inspired by embracing what is impossible today to craft the realities of tomorrow: Lamborghini must always create the dreams of the next generation.”
