Advancements in technology are impacting all areas of our lives, and cleaning is
no exception to that! New technologies related to cleaning products and industrial
cleaning are popping up all the time and most of us don’t even realize!

Here are 4 new technologies that will blow your mind.

## Trenchless Pipe Relining Technology

Sometimes blocked drains or pipes can cause significant problems and require professional
help. Previously, liquid waste removal could be quite a grueling task, and trying
to solve drainage problems meant digging around to access broken or damaged pipes.
However, new trench-less pipe relining technology has changed the game as it allows
[plumbers](https://greenlivingguy.com/2016/07/why-you-need-a-reliable-plumber/)
to repair drains with minimal impact to the area. This [benefits not only the environment](https://greenlivingguy.com/2022/10/green-benefits-for-harvesting-timber/),
but it saves considerable time and money.

## The Self-Cleaning Toilet

A Spanish company, Kekatron Desarrollo SL has invented [a self-cleaning toilet](https://www.noticiasdenavarra.com/economia/2020/11/19/inodoro-autolimpiable-desarrollado-navarra/1096425.html)
that looks like it comes straight from the future. It works similar to a dishwasher,
in that once you are done with the toilet, it retracts towards itself and it cleans,
disinfects and dries the toilet after each use. Once the cleaning process is complete,
the toilet springs back into place, as though nothing ever happened. What’s even
cooler is that this process only uses 2 liters of water, which is a mere third of
what a standard toilet uses per flush. This innovative technology has the potential
to make flushing obsolete, which would be hugely beneficial to the [environment](https://greenlivingguy.com/2020/12/how-to-cultivate-environmental-awareness-in-schools/).

## Robotic Vacuum Cleaners

Vacuuming can be a tiresome and boring chore that we all have to do. Or do we? [Technology has developed](https://greenlivingguy.com/2019/03/legislation-supporting-florida-red-tide-mitigation-technology-development-initiative-led-by-mote-marine/)
robotic vacuum cleaners that come in all shapes and sizes, ready to do a variety
of jobs, whether they are big or small. The robotic vacuum is also [known as a Roomba](https://www.explainthatstuff.com/how-roomba-works.html),
and it is an autonomous cleaner that has intelligent programming that makes it work.
Intelligent programming makes it more energy-efficient, which is a [plus](https://greenlivingguy.com/2019/01/tesla-solar-energy-power-installed-new-roof/)
for the environment and for your energy bill. You might think that robotic vacuum
cleaners are going to be crazy expensive, but they are wide-ranging in price, and
there is something for everyone’s budget. However, the cheaper you go, the less
powerful and efficient they will get. Either way, [next time you need](https://greenlivingguy.com/2014/01/next-generation-solar-oven-cook-day-and-night-without-the-need-of-the-sun/)
to vacuum, set up your Roomba and get yourself a glass of wine instead.

## Robotic Window Cleaners

Cleaning your windows can be a real hassle, sometimes they are too high or in an
awkward place to reach. Even if you can reach them, sometimes there is just so much
window surface to [clean that the job](https://greenlivingguy.com/2016/04/clean-power-players-revolutionizing-energy-sector/)
can feel endless. Instead of putting yourself through this grueling task, opt for
a robotic window cleaner. It can keep your glass spotless and keep you on the sofa.
Not only are robotic window cleaners more efficient, but it is also a far safer
[way to clean windows](https://greenlivingguy.com/2022/11/useful-ways-to-minimize-heat-loss-in-your-home/).
This is because no one has to balance off any ladders to reach the high spots. You’ll
find that you clean your [windows far more frequently when you don’t](https://greenlivingguy.com/2011/04/dont-let-your-hard-work-and-cool-air-go-out-the-window/)
have to do it yourself. Another perk of using this technology is that you [waste less water](https://greenlivingguy.com/2025/04/green-online-casino-a-step-towards-sustainability/).

So there you have it! Four awesome new cleaning technologies that are mind-blowingly
cool and practical all at the same time.
