Ford is paving the way for electric police fleets in the United States of America.
As part of its more than $30 billion investment in electrification through 2025.
All because Ford is exploring all-electric, purpose-built law enforcement vehicles.⌊
DEARBORN, Mich., Sept. 17, 2021 – Ford is paving the way for electric police fleets
in America. As part of its more than $30 billion investment in electrification through
2025.  All because Ford is exploring all-electric, purpose-built law enforcement
vehicles.⌉

So to demonstrate that a [vehicle with an electric](https://greenlivingguy.com/2011/11/fairfield-had-a-high-voltage-author-talk-with-jim-motavalli/)
powertrain can deliver strong performance is needed with the police force.  Because
of the standing up to demanding police duty cycles and extensive shifts of 0-120
25-30X a day. That is why the company is submitting an all-electric police pilot
vehicle.  One also based on the 2021 [Mustang Mach-E SUV](https://greenlivingguy.com/2021/07/test-drive-results-2021-ford-mustang-mach-e/).
All for testing as part of the Michigan State Police 2022 Model Year Police Evaluation.
Starting on Sept. 18 and ending on 20. Ford will also use the pilot program testing
as a benchmark.  All the while it continues to explore purpose-built [electric police vehicles](https://greenlivingguy.com/2010/02/unveiling-the-debate-electric-vehicle-ev-phev-and-tax-increases/)
in the future. Law enforcement demand for all-electric vehicles is growing worldwide.
