# Polestar delivering electric vehicles on a partnership with Hertz

their new car the Polestar 2 to Hertz.  Hertz is a car rental company that most 
people are quite aware of. For now Polestar and Hertz set a partnership. One most
noteworthy where Polestar is going to supply Hertz with over 65,000 cars over the
next five years. Hertz will also be supplied with the Polestar 2. For that’s also
an award-winning [EV](https://greenlivingguy.com/2022/05/the-eu-plans-to-sell-more-than-4-4-million-evs-by-2026/).“
Our partnership with Hertz is an exciting milestone.  One that provides the opportunity
for a significant number of potential new customers to experience an EV for the 
first time.  Now it will be in a Polestar,” says Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of [Polestar](https://www.polestar.com/us/).
This is one of the biggest sales of [electric vehicles](https://greenlivingguy.com/2022/09/land-rover-based-vehicles-for-security-and-defense-projects-are-going-electric/)
in the world.

## History

Polestar was established as a new, standalone Swedish premium electric vehicle manufacturer
in 2017. It was also Founded by [Volvo](https://greenlivingguy.com/2018/05/volvo-trucks-will-start-selling-electric-trucks-2019/)
Car AB (publ) (together with its subsidiaries, “Volvo Cars”) and Zhejiang Geely 
Holding Group Co., Ltd (“Geely”).  in addition, Polestar also enjoys specific technological
and engineering synergies with [Volvo Cars](https://greenlivingguy.com/2015/09/volvo-cars-takes-on-safety-challenges-in-electric-cars/).
Furthermore, it benefits from significant economies of scale as a result.

Furthermore, Thomas Ingenlath wants to be able to have over 290,000 sales by the

Also, they have 32,000 orders.  “We’re excited to add this first delivery of Polestars
to our fleet.  Thereby expanding the opportunities for Hertz customers.  All to

says Darren Arrington, executive vice president for Hertz.
