Oklahoma has faced steep cuts to its state education budget in recent years, but
wind payments have helped bridge the gap for many small-town districts.

Earlier this year, the [U.S. Energy Information Administration stated ](https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=50818)
that in 2021 over 17 GW of wind energy projects expanded capacity. For they came
online in the United States. Thereby increasing U.S. [wind](https://greenlivingguy.com/2019/03/georgia-mt-community-wind-produces-1-million-kwh/)
energy projects for [generation](https://greenlivingguy.com/2021/03/wind-turbine-listening-device-prepares-for-commercial-launch/)
increased by 30%. That’s to 135.1 GW. Another 7.6 GW was [expected](https://greenlivingguy.com/2019/09/wind-energy-producers-pges-commitment-to-honor-renewable-energy-contracts-is-an-encouraging-sign-but-issue-is-far-from-resolved/)
to come online in 2022.

#### 8.5% Already

According to the [World Eco](https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2022/04/us-wind-electricity-generation-renewable-energy/)
nomic Forum, wind energy power makes up nearly 8.5% of US power generation. Moreover
it is the country’s most productive renewable energy source. States generating the
most [wind](https://greenlivingguy.com/2017/12/orange-renewable-awarded-200-mw-wind-project-in-the-state-of-tamil-nadu/)
power are Texas, Iowa, and Oklahoma, they are [winning](https://greenlivingguy.com/2016/02/samsung-and-pattern-development-start-operations-at-180-mw-armow-wind-power-facility-in-ontario/).
Also it does not come as a surprise that 5 out of the top 10 wind projects [gone](https://greenlivingguy.com/2023/03/a-200-mw-wind-apuiat-project-community/)
there. I mean are in development in 2022 are coming from these states.

Fimrograph monitors infrastructure wind projects from the concept to commercial
operations and maintains this information in a uniform database, dashboards, and
maps. This business intelligence is provided to interested parties such as U.S.
infrastructure contractors. Data is sourced from industry news and filings with
utility regulators. That’s in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., and the [Federal Energy](https://greenlivingguy.com/2014/01/federal-energy-goals-for-sustainability-and-security/)
Regulatory Commission.

### However, I wrote before:

Thanks to the state’s large [wind](https://greenlivingguy.com/2016/08/belltown-power-acquires-24-mw-wind-farm-project-in-wales/)
energy farms powering a deregulated electricity grid. For miners can access power
at a fraction of the cost of other locations. According to a [BanklessTimes](https://www.banklesstimes.com/)
data analysis, [renewable energy](https://greenlivingguy.com/2022/05/elkhorn-valley-wind-farm-has-safely-produced-renewable-energy-since-2007/)
now powers 60% of Texas’ BTC mining operations. This has helped miners to boost
their margins, with many now earning between 60% and 80%.

So wind makes a big difference in [energy](https://greenlivingguy.com/2019/06/vattenfall-issues-eur-500-million-green-bond/)!
Always has, always will!
