Effective 1 January 2018. So the municipality of The Hague has commissioned Alfen. They are to perform the management and maintenance of the charging point infrastructure for electric vehicles. The order involves more than 500 Alfen Twin public charging points. Thanks to energy supplier Nuon. For the vehicles of the users are charged with green energy. All generated in The Netherlands.
Between 2013 and 2016, Alfen delivered the charging infrastructure. That’s for the general public. All in the municipality of The Hague. I personally can’t wait one day to personally see these charging ports in The Hague!
So Alfen will now deploy its service portfolio. I always wondered what that means too. However, it’s the management and maintenance. Combined services for the EV charging point infrastructure. This includes its 24/7 helpdesk. Also service experts and technicians. Moreover, its online monitoring system.
For that’s known as ‘Connect’.
Location and status information can now be monitored from a distance. Also smart charging is enabled. That’s by taking the available net capacity into account.
Winning this order means that Alfen can optimally deploy its services. That’s for the municipality. Also, for its residents and visitors.
