Green Living Companies plus Green Living Guy Links
Let’s talk one page for going green living companies and links. I mean, I had to create some resources for green living companies and more this is it! Resources are really important. For I mean, they are what makes the Web a web.
First off all, the idea of green living companies are one of the most exciting pages. Yet one of the best innovations the Web has to offer. They’ve also been a feature of the Web since the beginning. Look; for they are what makes the Web a web. In addition, hyperlinks allow us to link documents to other documents or resources. Moreover, link to specific parts of documents, or make apps available at a web address. Almost any web content can be converted to a link so that when clicked or otherwise activated the web browser goes to another web address (URL).
So, this is it folks. All of my Eco Friendly Green Living Companies and Going Green Resources!

Protecting Children’s Health October 2019 Booklet
From the executive summary:
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) was created first of all created in 1970. All with the mission to protect human health and also the environment. In 1995, EPA began to focus explicitly on the unique vulnerabilities and needs of children with respect to the air they breathe and the water they drink. Most importantly and exposures to chemicals.
All in places where they live, learn, and also play.
Environmental officials increasingly recognize that the differences between children and adults. For they are critical to acknowledge when establishing environmental health protections. Children in all stages of life. Especially from infancy through adolescence. As well as pregnant women. For they all face environmental health hazards in both the natural and built environments. Because children’s neurological, immunological, respiratory, digestive, and other systems are still developing.
So, they are more vulnerable than adults to environmental risk factors. In many cases, their responses are also substantially different. Why these going green links are essential.
For that’s qualitatively and quantitatively. Especially from those exhibited by adults. In conclusion, the EPA is committed to assuring newborns have the best possible start in life. That’s by seeking to decrease exposures during vulnerable life stages. Finally, and improve children’s environmental health outcomes.

Canada ZEV Standard to 2020
ZEV Standard for Canada up to 2020
For here is the ZEV standard in a nutshell
To download the explanatory leaflet (PDF, 3,0 Mo)
The ZEV standard came into force on January 11, 2018. From then on, the automakers subject to it must accumulate credits by obtaining zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs). Also or low-emission vehicles (LEVs) on the Québec market. The credit target is most importantly calculated by applying a percentage to the total number of light-duty vehicles that each automaker sells in Québec. The credit requirement also varies from one automaker to the next.
Each sale or lease of a ZEV recognized by the Minister earns credits. Then the number of which varies. For that’s all according to the vehicle’s electric range. The greater the range, the greater the number of credits that the automaker earns. For those which consequently reduces the number of ZEVs that it must sell to meet its credit target. The purpose of the ZEV standard is thus to spur the automobile market. All to develop greater numbers of models that rely on increasingly efficient low-carbon technologies.
Small automakers are not subject to the standard. Also and the most competitive automakers can also obtain a financial gain from the sale of their surplus credits. Then to sell to other automakers. The latter can purchase the credits. Thereby to avoid paying the royalties stipulated by the regulation. All also can be kept with them for their future needs.
Details of the operation of the ZEV standard, especially the percentage of credits required by category of automaker, the forms to calculate the credits linked to each type of vehicle, requirements pertaining to reconditioned vehicles, the rules governing the use of credits and the information requested when vehicles are registered will be specified in the regulation.
Types of vehicles eligible for the credits
Objective of the standard
The standard seeks to spur the supply of zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) and low-emission vehicles (LEVs) to afford Québec consumers access to greater numbers and a broader range of plug-in motor vehicles, which are the cleanest and the most technically advanced on the market.
Automakers that sell or lease more than 4 500 new vehicles on average per year (all light models) will be subject to the ZEV standard. Big green living companies and automakers that sell or lease more than 20 000 new vehicles on average per year will, starting in the 2020 model year, be subject to requirements linked specifically to the sale of ZEVs.

If you have been around any larger cities recently, odds are you have seen tons of those rideshare electric scooters around. The eco-friendly nature and convenience of electric scooters have seen an explosion in their popularity in recent years. With the fast proliferation of these electric scooters, one may think that electric scooters are a relatively recent phenomenon. Interestingly enough, did you know that the first patent of an electric motorbike actually dates back to 1895, a full year before the invention of the first gas-powered motorbike? Let’s take a deep dive into the history of the electric scooter to see where it all started.
Nowadays, there are dozens of electric scooter manufacturers. For I mean in several countries. Also and they are becoming a common sight in most cities. Several rideshare companies like Uber and Lime have electric scooters. Those that you can rent for one-off trips. People favor electric scooters due to their portability. Moreover their ease of use. Also their low environmental footprint. Then you have less maintenance, and fewer regulations. That’s compared to more traditional methods of transportation.
The fuel cost of a gas-powered scooter is almost 4 times as high as an electric scooter and gas-powered scooters actually emit more greenhouse gasses than cars proportional to their size. The current fastest electric scooter on the market is the NANROBOT LS7 which can reach a top speed of 52 mph, almost highway speeds.
So you can see why people are so excited about electric scooters and why this trend is probably here to stay.

Batteries, Charging and EVs for the US Department of Energy
With their immense potential for increasing the country’s energy security, economic vitality, and quality of life, plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs).
For that’s including plug-in hybrid electric and all-electric vehicles. I mean they will play a key role in the country’s transportation future.
The Vehicle Technologies Office (VTO) supports a variety of work to lower the cost and increase the convenience of PEVs. So, the VTO is collaborating with national laboratories and industry to improve batteries and electric drive systems.
To maximize these technologies’ effectiveness, researchers use simulation and modeling software to create virtual vehicles based on data collected from vehicles on the road and in the laboratory through the Advanced Vehicle Testing Activity (AVTA).
In addition, VTO also works with national laboratories and key stakeholders to advance the development and use of PEV charging infrastructure. Three broad principles guide VTO efforts in this area and are intended to support communities, companies, and others as they plan for future PEV charging availability.
The office closely coordinates with other Federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Transportation, state and local governments, industry partners, and other key stakeholders to serve current and future PEV drivers across America:
Community and fleet readiness activities. For those that connect local governments and private fleets with our nearly 100 Clean Cities coalitions around the country.
Moreover, the PEV Readiness Scorecard helps communities assess how prepared they are for PEV drivers/. while a number of cities are already finding ways to improve planning, increase training, and cut red tape through PEV community readiness projects.
Furthermore. VTO partners with a number of organizations and companies to train the American workforce to develop, build, repair, and respond to incidents with these vehicles. VTO has sponsored student competitions in advanced vehicles for more than 25 years, with the latest focusing on transforming a conventional Chevrolet Camaro into a PEV without compromising performance, safety, or consumer acceptability.
In conclusion, VTO’s Batteries, Charging, and Electric Vehicles program aims to research new battery chemistry and cell technologies. All that can:
Reduce the cost of electric vehicle batteries to less than $100/kWh—ultimately $80/kWh
Increase range of electric vehicles to 300 miles
Decrease charge time to 15 minutes or less.

Amazing Green Celebrities
To begin!! I’ve met a lot of Green Celebrities Throughout my years as The Green Living Guy. Again, and I will say again, I have met a lot of Green Celebrities. Today, I know and am humbled, some would now consider me a Green Celebrity. So cool!
Ted Danson being interviewed by Seth Leitman, The Green Living Guy on his blog talk radio show.
I know and you don’t need to ask! So, what the heck is a green celebrity?! As defined by Ranker:
Several popular actors, actresses, and musicians are big-time environmentalists. Some of these eco-friendly celebrities work to protect the oceans, while others want to reduce climate change. A few celebrity environmentalists even started their own foundations. (Source: Ranker)
So, this page goes to each one I’ve met or wish to meet! Some I have met, and the articles linked will show you the connection. If it’s just a post with no connection, I never met em!

May Lindstrom has been a green celebrity since the first day I met her. Has modeled and even movies. Now with her own skin care line.
Adrian Grenier is saving plastic straws from Starbucks to start! However, he did it to protect the Oceans. He added in another quote the following statement.
“The ocean must never take for granted. It has to be nurtured. It gives us so many things, like food, jobs, relaxation, inspiration. But it gives us one thing that we can’t see but is perhaps the most important of them all – oxygen. 50% of our oxygen comes from the ocean.”
Bali Rodriguez was also recently awarded the Green Living Guy Breakthrough Model of the Year for 2018.

Charlotte Ross
Charlotte Ross is a passionate recognized animal rights activist. Also widely known for PETA “I’d rather go naked…” campaign. In addition, Charlotte is a funny person who I enjoyed interviewing. That was at a prior EMA event in Los Angeles.
Christian Serratos is another PETA supporter that I interviewed as well on Blog Talk Radio. As PETA mentioned. Almost everyone calls himself or herself an “environmentalist.” Maybe you recycle, pick up litter, or conserve energy in your home.
But did you know that if you want to help the Earth, the best thing you can do is to stop eating meat? Here’s why:
Pollution: Firstly, can you imagine a city without a sewer system? That’s what factory farms are like. Thousands of animals producing thousands of pounds of, well, poop. The poop goes into “lagoons,” which often spill over into lakes and streams.
Land: As well, on 1 acre of land, you can grow 20,000 pounds of potatoes, or you can grow 165 pounds of beef in the same space. Also, about 87 percent of the farmland in the U.S. is used to raise animals for food.
Water: More noteworthy, more than half of all water used in the U.S. goes to raising animals for food!
Deforestation: Most importantly, everybody’s heard about rain forests and how they’re disappearing. Where are they going? They’re being chopped down to make way for grazing land for cows who will be killed for food.
Energy: Producing one fast-food hamburger uses enough fuel to drive a small car 20 miles and enough energy for 17 showers. If you eat hamburgers, you may as well let your faucets.
Donna DiStefano is a green celebrity but also a LEADING and great Fair Trade and Conflict Free Jeweler.

Panasonic USA
Panasonic USA and I gladly announced our team up with Panasonic USA. For I campaigned with them for six months and then 2018 spoke at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) this January 7-12 in Las Vegas baby!! For context, I have heard of CES and the events announced. Yet being asked to attend and in addition to represent an amazing product line like Panasonic USA and Tesla Inc?!! Yes, I have to say it is humbling! Talk about serious green living companies!
Therefore, I’m spoke about Panasonic’s integrated solutions. For that’s combining solutions in the sustainable energy industry. All from a high-level.
You all know I have loved Panasonic since they connected with Tesla Motors. I mean Renewable Energy, Electric Car Batteries and Energy Storage!! Bam!!
Tesla is one of those Great Green Living Companies
Then they began to create the Gigafactory, 1 and 2. For context, Gigafactory One is for the battery plant building a gigawatt of batteries. All for Tesla Motors in Nevada. Then Giga 2 is for Solar cells. That’s for Tesla Solar. That also a 1-2 combo. For I mean that’s an amazing feat. Then add Powerwalls and most importantly you’re really saving money on energy. You also can’t go wrong. Heck California has backed up the electrical grid with Tesla. That’s their branded Energy storage. Yet it’s all Panasonic USA!
Now with the release of the Tesla Semi and the Roadster (not including the Model 3), battery purchases are gong to increase the volume and potentially further reduce the cost of each product.
Then as I wrote, Panasonic USA is making high-efficiency solar panels that make eco more economical!.
These solutions already exist independently, but when combined, they become even more powerful. Ah now you’re starting to connect the dots of all this battery, energy storage, Solar and Car connection. They are all interconnected.
That’s because a combined Tesla and SolarCity will be able to offer customers better and more affordable ways to drive clean cars.
Why? All by using battery packs to consume energy more efficiently. Moreover to and make use of solar energy.
I’ve always been a fan of Solar you know. I’ve got the book Solar Power for Your Home in my Green Guru Guides. Yet, for two decades, Panasonic USA has been working with city planners, industry leaders and utilities, as well as builders and architects, to revolutionize the solar energy industry.
Breakthrough panel materials and system design have led to record-setting efficiency.
That’s good news for the environment in itself, and even better news when you see the related technologies we’re developing alongside it:
Tesla already offers batteries and electric cars, and SolarCity which equals sustainable energy generation. Together, Tesla and SolarCity have introduced an integrated system that illustrates what the companies can do together. This interconnected system is beautiful, customizable, and offers a smart and simple way for people to live sustainably.
Then on Energy Storage
Panasonic’s storage solutions also solve issues. For that’s massive energy issues using excess electricity. This is all generated by large-scale renewable energy projects. For this combo pack helps meet peak demand on hot days. Finally and most importantly when major equipment is also damaged by storms or suffers mechanical failure. Beyond providers of sustainable energy, traditional power plants can also benefit.
I mean from our energy storage systems and eliminating the need to build new facilities. All to handle growing peak demand.
Proterra as they write: Transitioning your fleet to battery-electric technology introduces a new set of challenges that go well beyond the vehicles. Proterra Energy in your bus!

Green Fashion
Organic clothing or green fashion is a farm to fashion and home movement; come here from the innovators behind it. Some people call Eco-fashion green fashion. Regardless, it is designed to be environment friendly. Green fashion is part of the larger trend of sustainable design where a product is created and produced with consideration to the environment.
As the global warming conversation continues to reverberate throughout society, one of the industries so many people point the finger at is the fashion industry. Landfills are overflowing with items like apparel. Research shows that the average American wears an item seven times before they get rid of it.
In China, the average item gets worn three times before it’s discarded. If more people developed certain fashion habits, it’d be a lot easier to shift these statistics in a different direction. To practice ethical and sustainable fashion, adopt the following habits.
So,
1. Build a Wardrobe Foundation
The age-old punchline about women never having anything to wear is rooted in a lot of truth. In many cases, many women don’t know how to build a wardrobe. I mean one that suits their needs properly. They’re drawn to current trends, pretty colors, and interesting silhouettes. While those factors can create a fun look for a day party or a photo on Instagram, they’re not the practical pieces to create a foundational wardrobe.
They’re meant to add interest and pizzazz to foundational pieces. When it’s time to build a wardrobe, start with the foundational pieces that are considered classic. A well-fitting pair of denim jeans, a crisp white button-down blouse, and a little black dress are just a few of the great pieces each woman should maintain in her wardrobe. Those items are easy to pair with current trends or on their own. Your classic pieces will help you eliminate the issue of not having anything to wear.
2. Prioritize Thrift Store Shopping
Instead of going to popular retailers, visit the thrift stores first. This takes a shift in mindset. However, thrift store shopping is an excellent way to keep apparel out of those landfills. Thrift stores keep the clothing in circulation. Even if you don’t like the idea of visiting thrift stores, there are finely curated thrift stores. Especially ones with an online presence.
By heading to the online consignment store first, you can use the filters to find exactly what you’re looking for. To take it a step further, the garments you purchase will also be shipped directly to you. There’s no difference in the quality of service or the convenience of a traditional online retailer. Yet, you’ll be able to potentially get a much better price for your items. Finally, and the joy of knowing you’re developing sustainable fashion practices.

Mother Nature is our muse.
Building on her handiwork, we’re finding new uses for materials that exist right in front of us. Like wool from merino sheep, who have the best hair in nature.
But even great locks need a trim from time to time. With fibers that are 20% the diameter of human hair, our superfine merino wool is breathable, temperature-regulating, and moisture-wicking, all without that irritating scratchiness

Green Fashion Celebrities
Celebrities, models, and designers such as Deborah Lindquist, Edun, Marci Zaroff, Taryn Hipwell, prAna, Stewart+Brown, Shalom Harlow, Laura Zabo and others have recently drawn attention to socially conscious and environmentally friendly fashion.
Marcy Zaroff
Marci Zaroff is the founder and president of Under the Canopy, an organic clothing producer. Think soft soy dresses, cropped organic terry jackets and slim fit organic denim jeans to pair with stilettos, not flip flops.
Consumers worried about ingesting harmful pesticides have long been purchasing organic foods. But the philosophy is slowly hitting mainstream clothing retailers as experts warn about the dangers as to which pesticides pose to the environment.
Whether shoppers are buying eco-friendly because it’s trendy or because they hope to preserve Mother Earth, they no longer have to sacrifice fashion for philosophy. With major retailers such as Target, Victoria’s Secret, H&M and Nike joining the green trend, there’s something for fashionistas of every price range in 2007.
“We’re fashion first. The fact that they’re organic is a value-added product,” says Marci Zaroff, founder of Under the Canopy, one of the world’s largest producers of organic clothing.
Organic cotton, which makes up 95 percent of organic fabrics, is the driving force behind the trend. Global organic cotton sales increased 119 percent, from $245 million to $583 million between 2001 and 2005. Sales are expected to reach more than $2 billion by the end of 2008, according to the Organic Exchange, a non-profit trade association that works to expand the use of organically grown cotton.
Though more retailers are considering organic cotton, it makes up for than 1 percent of cotton produced in the world. Designers are also experimenting with eco-friendly fabrics made of bamboo, soy, Ingeo (corn) and hempsilk.
“The market is really expanding in large because a number of very large retailers are actually going to have a lot of products available in 2007,” said Rebecca Calahan Klein, president of California-based Organic Exchange.
Deborah Lindquist
Portland Fashion Week, which has featured sustainable designers and apparel since 2005, has also attracted international press for its efforts to sustainably produce a fashion week that showcases 100% eco-friendly designs.
Eco-couture designer Deborah Lindquist is a bespoke collection of unique eco conscious women’s clothing. In addition to accessories, home decorative accessories wedding gowns and also headpieces. All created from a blend of sustainable, organic, and recycled materials.

Other sustainable clothing and footwear labels include Elena Garcia, Nancy Dee, By Stamo, Outsider Fashion, Beyond Skin, Oliberté, Hetty Rose, DaRousso and Eva Cassis.
The sustainable fashion movement has begun to make significant in-roads in the bedding segment of the home fashion category. Brands such as Boll & Branch make all of their products from organic cotton and have been certified by Fair Trade USA.
The Hemp Trading Company is an ethically driven underground clothing label, specializing in environmentally friendly, politically conscious street wear made of hemp, bamboo, organic cotton and other sustainable fabrics.
As reported in the Associated Press:
Styles in fashion are ephemeral and fickle. Those acid-wash jeans, M.C. Hammer pants, and DayGlo T-shirts you loved in middle school have long since reached “out” status (though the harem pants we saw on the Spring 2007 runways look a bit Hammer Time to us). The skinny jeans you love right now will one day follow their fate.
Though trends come and go, the clothes themselves stick around. To make room for new fashions, the average American throws away about 68 pounds of clothing and textiles per year. Mother Earth isn’t that fond of polyester, and is quite warm enough already, thank you very much.
On top of that, producing new clothes out of traditionally grown cotton taxes the environment with chemical fertilizers and pesticides; energy and chemicals are required to manufacture synthetic materials. The all-American combo of a cotton T-shirt and a pair of denim jeans, for instance, requires 1 pound of fertilizers and pesticides.
But the fashion industry is beginning to recognize its impact, as well as consumers’ desire for more eco-friendly fashion. An increasing number of independent designers and boutiques specialize in eco-conscious fashion that is more hip than hippy.
Big Companies
Even big companies like H&M, Urban Outfitters, and Uniqlo. All which sell really cheap, trendy, and easily disposable clothing (a.k.a. “fast clothes”). For they are taking steps to be more eco-friendly. One way is by using alternative materials that reduce post-consumer waste and pollution.
Nothing New Sneakers: Made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic and other sustainable materials.
Veja sneakers used recycled fabric and amazon rubber for soles.
Also VivoBearfoot is an amazing sneaker line.
As Taryn Hipwell talks about Beyond the Label:
In addition, Hipwell originally created EcoDivas. So, EcoDivas partnered with TEDxLA. All to create a new series most interestingly called Beyond the Label (BtL). It’s meant to educate consumers. Moreover about the affects of their fashion purchases. That’s on: Economics, Environments & Human Health.
Her tag lines!

Choosing “knowledge is power” over “ignorance is bliss” is how we #MakeShiftHappen
~Taryn Hipwell
In addition, Taryn brings happiness, joy and empowerment to everything she does. She’s also an educator, producer and you better not forget she IS the ORIGINAL EcoDivas creator!
YET ahem, just like the Green Living Guy, she is totally committed to creating fun, authentic and bold educational experiences, content & events that shatters stereotypes, shifts perceptions and changes lives.
Taryn’s top 3 passions are Eco fashion, unique cultures (especially Zambia and rednecks) and the environment aka EcoDivas. Who can do Red Neck and Zambia? Common?!?!!!!
However, she admits: “I’m a redneck in the sense that out of necessity I recycle my mayo jars for Tupperware, I can build a dresser from crates, and I love to play in mud.”
So, see now my mom is fixing the trailer out back. All to lug a couch across Florida for kin. Now that’s redneck.
Then she finally admits Dance is a close 4th.
She also loves and loves sharing off incredible people’s journeys. Also their obstacles and successes. Especially with audiences so they too can learn, grow and flourish “ecodivaliciously!”
If that’s a word. LOL. Props for the promo though.
