Population Connection recently announced the winners of their World of 7 Billion international student video contest. The competition invited students between the ages of 14 and 18. All to create a video highlighting the impact of population growth on a global issue.

The Winners

Most interestingly, the competition was judged by a team of experts. All in the fields of population, education, and also communications. After careful consideration, they determined that the top three videos were:

1st Place: “People of the World” by Anya Brodnikova from Russia
2nd Place: “The Balance of Nature” by Sara Aziz from Egypt
3rd Place: “One World, One Choice” by Yuki Yamada from Japan

The Impact of Population Growth

The videos all highlighted the impact of population growth on global issues. Anya’s video focused on the importance of understanding and appreciating cultural diversity.

Sara’s video focused on the balance of nature. Finally, Yuki’s video discussed the importance of making sustainable choices.

The population of the world is constantly changing and it is important to understand how this impacts the environment and our world. As the population increases, resources become scarce and it is important to be mindful of our decisions and how they affect the planet.

The Prize

The three winners of the contest were awarded with a cash prize of $1,000, $500, and $250, respectively. In addition, they were also presented with a certificate and the video that they created is now featured on Population Connection’s website.

In conclusion, the contest is an excellent way for students to explore the topic of population growth. Moreover, to gain a better understanding of the impact. For it it has an effect on global issues. It also provides an opportunity for students. Especially to express their creativity and to share their insights with the world.
