While at the Environmental Media Association (EMA) awards, I had the opportunity through Planet Green to provide these video interviews with Aysia Wright and me.  It’s great since I also told them and I got passes for sitting at a table to some great eats and drinks (all virgin), that I was there to report and help the cause.  So then I read about the mission statement of the EMA.

It was my first opportunity like that ever so rock out and get green answers.  Many many thanks to my sponsors A Lot To Say, Inc. for helping me to get out to the West Coast for this book tour.

They work with the heavy duty hitters in the entertainment industry and the environmental or green community.  I think they have a broad tent since their policies were not Republican nor Democrat; they were for going green.

I contacted one of their wonderful PR people and she was wonderful  Really informative and helpful.

The annual EMA Awards honor film and television personalities, productions, musicians and musical tours that convey environmental messages in the most creative and influential ways. The EMA Green Seal Awards honor productions and corporate entertainment offices that go green ‘behind the scenes.’ In tandem with the Green Seal Awards, EMA offers practical guidance on how the entertainment industry and individuals can green their day-to-day lives.

Throughout the year, we participate in and create celebrity-driven eco-focused events and salons that garner vital media and public attention. We regularly network with writers, directors and producers, helping shape plotlines that seamlessly incorporate environmental messages. The work that we have done for almost 20 years has helped inspire millions of people to reduce air pollution, ensure clean water for drinking and recreation, protect endangered species, preserve open spaces, minimize waste, promote a safe food supply (go organic!) and live more environmentally sustainable lives.

EMA’s network of environmentally-conscious celebrities, tastemakers, not-for-profit organizations and corporations continues to be one of our greatest assets. From Hollywood royalty to the hottest new celebrities to cutting-edge businesses that work towards environmental change every day, EMA is a powerful force that brings powerful people together on the path to a healthier planet.

EMA is a non-profit 501(c)3 founded in 1989 by Cindy and Alan Horn and Lyn and Norman Lear
