Jersey Solar Energy Roof Solutions for Cost Savings

Since 2008, the North American record for the biggest solar installation on a single roof has been upped more than three times. There are still two under construction.
However, in New Jersey, two projects have been announced that would double what is thought to be the current record for an installation, a FedEx facility in Woodbridge. That’s just in the past two months!
Jersey Gardens Mall in Elizabeth announced plans for a solar installation on the mall’s roof. To be completed in August, it will produce 4.8 megawatts, 11 percent of the mall’s energy needs, according to numbers from PSE&G.

US Solar Energy Industry Experiences Record-Breaking Growth in 2010

The U.S. solar energy industry had a banner year in 2010 with the industry’s total market value growing 67 percent from $3.6 billion in 2009 to $6.0 billion in 2010, according to the U.S. Solar Market InsightTM: Year-in-Review 2010 released today by the Solar Energy Industries Association® (SEIA®) and GTM Research. Solar was a bright spot in the U.S. economy last year as the fastest growing energy sector, contrasting overall U.S. GDP growth of less than 3 percent.
In total, 878 megawatts (MW) of photovoltaic (PV) capacity and 78 MW of concentrating solar power (CSP) were installed in the U.S. in 2010, enough to power roughly 200,000 homes. In addition, more than 65,000 homes and businesses added solar water heating (SWH) or solar pool heating (SPH) systems.

Tesla’s Have Driven over 10 Million Miles!! Dig it!!

Over 1,500 Tesla Roadsters around the world have now driven more than 10 million real-world miles, the greatest distance covered by any electric vehicle maker to date. Said Tesla CEO Elon Musk: “We owe this achievement to Roadster drivers around the world and their pioneering adoption of electric vehicles.”
The Roadster launched in 2008 as the only highway-capable EV in the world, and today it still has no equals. Roadster 2.5, the fourth iteration of the vehicle, demonstrates Tesla’s continuous innovation and close feedback loop with engineers and customers. It continues to break new barriers.
From Vancouver, Canada to Melbourne, Australia, the Roadster has proven that drivers don’t need to compromise to go electric.

Today, groups representing millions of Latinos across the United States spoke in a unified voice to call on members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives to stop any efforts to block, delay or prevent the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from implementing the Clean Air Act (CAA) to reduce life-threatening pollution.
For forty years, the Clean Air Act has protected the health of millions in the United States from dangerous pollutants. That’s why the dangers of several political ploys to stop EPA from limiting emissions cannot be underestimated.
