Shane Snipes launched several organizations in Europe to create awareness on environmental and social issues. He taught social change, technology and management strategies at the College of Charleston. He has led professional trainings with many organizations including JD Power & Associates, Volvo, MIcrosoft, University of Miami, Best Buy, CompUSA, Intel, College of Charleston and others. In Lithuania, Shane completed research on cultural change related to environmental management and a masters degree in organizational development from Vytautas Magnus University.
He is a certified ISO 14001 environmental auditor. Sustainable1000 is the largest conversation anywhere about sustainability as we dive deep at times, or maintain a laymen’s tone to make the material approachable for all. 105 city across 48 US states covering 800+ interviews so far.

Latino Communities Struggle with Health Disparities

Latinos/Health Threat From Air Pollution –
A major report to be released at 1 p.m. EDT/10 a.m. PDT Tuesday (September 20, 2011) will show that one out of two Hispanic Americans faces serious health risks due to living in counties that frequently violate air quality standards.
The new report is co-authored by the Natural Resources Defense Council, the National Latino Coalition on Climate Change, the Center for American Progress and the National Wildlife Federation. Problem areas highlighted in the report are major markets that are home to large numbers of Latinos in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Texas, among other states.
