LEO Motors and KleenSpeed Join Forces in Global EV Sales Agreement

In a strategic move for the electric vehicle (EV) industry, South Korea’s LEO Motors and California-based KleenSpeed Technologies announced a global joint sales agreement. The collaboration combines advanced battery technology with cutting-edge electric drivetrainsβ€”creating new opportunities in clean transportation.

East Meets West in EV Innovation

LEO Motors, known for its high-performance lithium battery packs and electric propulsion systems, brings years of R&D experience. KleenSpeed, on the other hand, has built its reputation through innovative EV platforms and sustainable energy storage solutions. Together, the companies aim to accelerate international adoption of clean mobility solutions.

Under the agreement, both companies will jointly promote and sell each other’s products. That includes electric vehicle platforms, battery systems, energy storage units, and related clean tech. The partnership leverages each company’s strengths while opening access to new markets in Asia, North America, and Europe.

Expanding Market Reach for Clean Tech

LEO Motors has developed proprietary battery management systems (BMS), water-cooled battery packs, and electric outboard motors. Meanwhile, KleenSpeed’s breakthroughs include high-performance race-ready EV platforms and advanced software controls.

By pooling their technologies, the companies plan to serve multiple sectors. This includes passenger EVs, light commercial vehicles, electric boats, and stationary energy storage solutions for renewable integration.

β€œThe future of clean transportation depends on global collaboration,” said CEO Robert Howard of KleenSpeed. β€œOur alliance with LEO Motors is a smart step toward scaling sustainable solutions across borders.”

Targeting Growth in Emerging EV Markets

This joint venture couldn’t come at a better time. By early 2013, EV demand was rising fast, especially in urban centers dealing with pollution and fuel dependency. Together, LEO and KleenSpeed plan to develop tailored solutions for both developed and developing markets.

South Korea offers strong support for electric mobility, while California continues to lead U.S. EV policy. The partnership aligns with the strengths of both regions. In addition, LEO Motors’ expertise in marine EVs and KleenSpeed’s focus on speed and software make for a well-rounded team.

Clean Transportation Gains Momentum

This agreement signals more than just businessβ€”it reflects a broader trend. Companies across the globe are joining forces to push clean tech faster and farther. By removing the barriers between hardware and software, battery and drivetrain, East and West, LEO and KleenSpeed represent the future of EV partnerships.

As countries race to meet climate goals and shift away from fossil fuels, deals like this will play a central role. The EV market may still be young, but the pieces are falling into place for serious growth.
